Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Metallic Sally, a Squoosh More Accurate

As I started to pack away last years CARS, I noticed that the Thai released Metallic Sally was actually a squoosh closer to the real (996) 911.

Not an optical illusion – 95’s 3.306 cm wide versus the last China release which is 3.327 cm. Yes, the back is slightly wider at 3.475 v 3.596 cm.

So, this should be the new body when regular Sally is re-released.

Sally is also slightly taller ad more like the real 996 911. The original Sally was also a squoosh squatter than it should be. Wikipedia.

(MET: Yea, they fixed the headlamps (Finally) but the metallic one has the upgraded more like the real 996 911 dimensions … so we’ll see where we go from here …)

We do have a Sally from Thailand previously which is a variant. She was released again this year in a new case. Is this one different than the first Thai version?

(METL Did we?, I guess I stack them until the year ends, I’ll take a look tonight).

WOW The head light, mirrors and door handles are much more detailed, the hood lines are smoother and the back is completely different! The window shape, the recess location, the horizontal lines layout, the tail light design, the license plate recess width, the exhaust pipes size… everything! Welcome Sally from Thailand

Yeah, I wish Mattel would put that much effort into ALL the Cars they do, and not just the special metallic Scavenger Hunt Cars. It seems to be more quantity over quality these days.
