Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: Oversized Deluxe in 2015

More than 5 years since the prototype was created … Benny Brakedrum!

And moving into the oversized-deluxe lineup for the first time EVER …

Tractor2

Yep, our old/oldest and hardest to find friend, TRACTOR!

Also returning as deluxe/oversized – Mack, and Red.

This list is NOT complete yet but it’s off to a good start for 2015.

Time to start a tractor farm! Definitely picking up as many as possible.

that’s great about the tractors b/c I’ve only got one original tractor and its still in the package with Luigi and Guido. Been sitting on that forever.

So the Tractor is going to be bigger, right?!? I’ve seen plenty of Tractors in my years of collecting and they all can easily fit into Singles packaging. I’m not going to be a happy camper if I have to pay almost $10 for a Tractor I could have bought in a three pack a few years ago for the same price.

I’m excited for Benny Brakedrum! Nice to see that Mattel is somewhat to their word and releasing most everything from the Peterson Museum.

    Yea! thanks for the news.

Seeing as Benny Brakedrum is really just Nelson Blindspot without the headset, this isn’t too surprising, especially when they were both originally announced together back in 2010. Nice to see he is finally coming though, it saves me the effort of strippng and repainting a Nelson!

Red and Mack are still popular with the wee tykes … so having them around another year is nice.

And can you ever have enough Tractors? I have fifteen … I think seventeen appear in the RS 500.5 short …

I’m just happy I have a chance to buy a tractor at a store.

That box set sounds awesome though.

  • John says:

They’ll save a fortune in production costs, the 2015 Reds and Macks are already in all our Targets. (they’ve been there for a year or two already) Mattel could just send the stores a roll of “New for 2015!” stickers.

(MET: There are 2 macks in the first case – 1 of everything else).

  • cac1959 says:

Mattel must have thousands of Mack and Red left over in order to keep producing them.

It’s great to see the debut of Benny Brakedrum… and I suppose a large boxed set with Frank, McQueen, Mater, and 6 Tractors is asking too much.
