Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: Toys R Us Metallic CARS Europe

The metallic versions of Francesco & Miguel Camino have shown up in Europe … regular purchase at TRU Germany – €7.49 or about $9.42 USD.

Thanks for the nice pics, “Christina P.”!

When will these show up in the US? It seems more likely TRU will simply offer them at $7.99 or $8.99 versus the whole buy $25 of CARS, get this free … Chime in if you see these at TRU.

Mettalic Miguel has been at my Toys-R-Us for weeks now. When I saw him there I assumed he was already available everywhere else!

Miguel is the best looking one yet..

I can’t believe Europe has found just one more Car months before we Americans did. I think I heard that even CANADA found Metallic Miguel before us….

The metallic Miguel Camino has been at Canadian Toys R Us for a few weeks now. I was at one earlier this week and counted close to 10 on the pegs.

        How much are/were they?

        • CalgaryGuy says:

The Canadian web site shows $10.99, but I’m pretty sure it was $9.99 in store. I bought the first 2 (LMQ and Gorvette) and this one but didn’t pick up the Nigel Gearsley (wishing I did now that it looks like they might release them all).

It was a pretty decent week for finding new cars here. In addition to the metallic Camino, I picked up 3 Mama Topolino two-packs and 2 Leland Turbo two-packs. Also found 2 Popes on clearance for $2.50 each (no Pope Mobiles though). Good week for my sons and nephews.

Well down here in Montreal .. no new cars at all.. and let say TRU’s are the worst in Montreal, only Race team Mater left on the pegs .. let say 75-100, and so f%?&*?g many two pack with zen.. Nothing else to reports .. we live so far far far away from the States .. once again Mattel screwed it up .. JUST KILL the line .. and since when Hot wheel are 1.99$ + 14.5% tx.. so suppose that Hot wheel got a 0.60$ increase .. this is 44% increase, so now cars at 6.99$ + 44% increase = 10.07$ will probably be the next price for single disney cars ! SCREW YOU MATTEL….

        ClagaryGuy,
Any chance of getting a few of the Metallic Miguel Camino cars for a fellow US collector?

  • John says:

Metallic Jeff Gorvette is available again at TRU.
$6.99 to buy or free with a $40 Cars purchase.
We’ve been waiting for the Moon Toons to be in stock to place an online order.

Great pics Christina!! Miguel looks SWEET!! Francesco, eh, but he is part of the set, so I am sure he will end up at our house

    sigh

I am tired of seeing all these new cars everywhere else in the world but not HERE yet. I mean, we all knew that Cars 2 would be MORE international, but I never expected the Diecast would be that way too!! I need a passport!!

    sweet…been waiting

    Wonderful finds, Christina… great photos.

When we found Nigel in stores last year within a month of finding Jeff, I thought we’d get one every 1 to 2 months and be close to finishing the set by now… but as we know, that hasn’t happened… The only metallic paint racer I’ve seen in any Toys R Us stores lately is McQueen – 5 stores I stopped at on trips had between 12 and 18 McQueens each.

I honestly expected new ones to be in TRU stores for this coming weekend as a “competition if you will” for the Kmart collector event.

If Mattel makes them and stores stock them, we will buy them… otherwise, it’s a huge challenge to collect them all, and a lot of people are moving onto other toys, as their children or grandchildren are moving onto other things.
