It’s exactly the same! It only changes in a small piston cup drawn in the trailer.
I finally saw the movie. I think they changed the old 95 logo on Mac and the billboards in the movie. I remember the lighning bot being more prominent and a few other changes. Anyone else notice this? I may be crazy too. Maybe a new Mac in the future?
I love it.. I have 4 of these..unopened…
Should be fun for the real young ones. Lots of plastic though.
It’s on sale here in Oz. That said, I think it is a really bad product of Mack that Mattel have made.

Got it for the little one a couple years back now (At least) And he and his sister still play with it…
Not my fave but as far as all-in-one play sets go, it is cool enough, compact and has a nice variety of stations within it to keep even two children content at the same time!
…Without fighting!!!
I dunno now either… I wasn’t really looking at it from that point of view. I was thinking that it isn’t really a big change from the previous version(s) of Mack already released and also wasn’t in line with Mack in Cars 2; especially after reading bobbyjack’s comment. Also, McQueen doesn’t go sit inside Mack I think in Cars 2. I guess I shouldn’t expect that chase Metallic paint (and actaul metal) Mack truck I’ve always wanted!
But you are right, good for the kids, and my son loves Mack! He seems to prefer the normal hauler version though.
Interestingly, you can get Mack and McQueen in this configuration for less than the price of 2 single diecasts with the sale on! Bargain!
My only fear in getting this is, my son will ask me why Chick and the King’s haulers are so small?
Now THIS is what a Hauler should be! Not the little shrinky dink ones we’ve all become brainwashed into believing are the right scale. All Haulers should be the size of the Mack Bachelor Pad.
It would be worth getting if they updated Mack’s trailer to Lightning’s updated paint scheme. My son’s older cousin had this Mack and when my son got his Mack that only opened from the back, he kept trying to pull the trailer apart. I had to explain to him that his Mack didn’t open like that.
I forget what the trailer looked like in cars 2 but he DOES have an updates piston cup series logo on the top right there…?
