Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS 2: The Double Decker Bus is Sterling

Like the real old school London Double Decker Bus, this is one sweet and cool looking ride …

Like the real London bus of yore, it’s all plastic underneath and metal on top … ok, maybe you can’t believe every press release. πŸ™‚

Yes, the oddity is the ground level (below the yellow line) is plastic and it’s diecast metal above – it’s a bit odd but it actually works and looks fine and nice … it has one advantage in that if you’re going to roll it around, your natural inclination is to grip the top area so it being metal means you won’t squeeze too hard and crack it … so it works on a lot of levels. Sure, it would be great if it were 100% diecast but it’s understandable and doesn’t distract too much on a lot of levels. It’s still quite hefty and quite large …

No, I called you a lorry, not Lori. You Americans are daft.

Wide loads …

Mind the gap.

Do Brits use ‘crickey?’ I thought that was more Aussie?

If we spelled tires like that, we’d have to pronounce it Tie-Res … though that is kind of fun to say.

You can even use it with your Greenlight figures … and of course, once CARS 2 actually comes out, we’ll know if CARS rides buses (to rest their weary ty-reses) or if buses are just ginormous CARS …

And interestingly enough – held together by screws and not rivets … so customize?
