No, I do not know if Matty will ship internationally on these. Some items mattel has international rights, other they do not so you can send an email to ask but we might not know until day of event-sale.

Matty will also be open to sell Superman, DC & Masters of the Universe at the exact same time so fingers crossed – it may not go all that smoothly 🙂 … Here’s the Matty page with a list of everything up for sale at that time and date.

Paypal fees plus shipping will apply. I will be sending out invoices this week as as others want them.

If you want more RV’s made, buy it. This is probably a test to see how well they’ll sell. If not many buy this, and with Cars 2 coming, this slims our chances of seeing more RV’s. Will Clayton Gentlebreeze come out soon as well? The proto was nicely detailed and I voted him 4 on the survey.

Barry Diesel – yay! But, it’s like Mattel has decided to get in on the secondary market prices. Good for them, bad for my wallet. It’s tough, but I’ll definitely be getting 1 so long as the ordering system lets me.

Outrageously overpriced, which is nothing new from Matty. Despite my excitement to see this finally being produced, I’ll be passing on it at that price.
Funny thing OPEC really does not have anything to do with oil prices. It’s a good cover though. Got to hand it to the real oil barons. The people who brought together some sheiks who were happy to play ball and tell them ok your OPEC now ok. Just go with it. It’s been working ever since.
Can’t say they haven’t warned us though. Truth is really stranger than fiction.
(MET: Yea, I know the answer is crazy fund speculators but it’s not nearly as catchy as OPEC … remember, we live in a shell here, a giant clam if you will … :-0 ).

Hey Quercy. Just a small request. Is it possible you use another type link for sharing pictures?
There are some that others can see them without having to sign up. I know some members including myself dont use Facebook.
I know many people like it but I care for the social network sites for personal reasons. Although there are plenty enough reasons for anyone to at least consider when using these sites. I am Sure happy back in the day my personal photos and shenanigans weren’t posted on the web for all to see. that’s for sure. 🙂

I don’t facebook for the simple reasons, it will some other “social network fad” next month and then another and then another.
I wont and don’t share my current “life” with my past. My past is past for a reason and it should stay there. I have the friends from years ago and they have my contact info and thats fine.
I don’t need old friends who couldn’t stay current friends and thats where they stay, in the past including ex wives and ex gf’s. I could care less who “finds me” or who wants to “friend me or find me”
I have better things to do than deal with “drama” on a social networking website because on friend is “higher” than the other.

Funny thing is that people will actually fork out $25.00 for this oversized car, and Mattel will then leave you all sitting pretty without finishing the Cars 1 line. I love this site, I love the cars, but am glad that I got out of this when I saw what Mattel was doing. Good luck for those of you that go forward and start collecting line number 2.
Matt, I think most of us feel that, overall, Mattel did pretty well by us, keeping us in Cars die-cast for over 4 1/2 years after the release of Cars.
Obviously, after seeing the success of Cars(1) merchandise, they’ll be much more prepared for keeping the pegs filled with Cars 2 items.
To each his own, but you’re gonna miss out on a great piece of art if you pass on Barry Diesel.
I’m the last person to defend Mattel, but when I started collecting the Cars line I never expected Mattel to “finish” it, if by that you mean release every single car in the movie.
They’ve made far more cars than I ever thought they would, and I would consider the line “finished” when they release the last car they make. If there are prototypes out there that never make it to release, that’s par for the course. This happens with so many other toy lines, that it would be almost impossible for anyone to collect anything if the criteria were that the line will eventually be 100% complete and finished.
I say just enjoy collecting what comes out. That’s what I try to do, even though I admit I get very frustrated with Mattel’s distribution practices.
I figured they were “done” after the first 12, so all the rest are “gravy” as far as I’m concerned. After all, Playing Mantis and Disney never released any more “Herbie Fully Loaded” diecasts after the first run (Stigette still doesn’t have one), and Mattel’s “Speed Racer” movie diecasts sold like coldcakes, so I figured it was a one-time deal between Mattel and Disney to hype up the movie, and that would be it.
$25!!! I was thinking $15 was going to be expensive, but $25! I guess Mattel knows we will be powerless to resist buying it so they have decided to take advantage of that. I wonder how much they are going to charge for shipping? If I get 2 extra, will anyone trade for Brian and Chuck?
