I am glad that you like the DCPI’s that I found. It took me about 90 minutes to find the right person to talk to. That person only gave me three of the DCPI’s that are in the system. I had to do some number punching on the scanner display to find the rest.
The numbers start from 087071961 through 087071995. So 35 items so far.
I sent Met all the pics that I have. I think I missed one 087071983.

so every one knows, I specified the last four of the DPCI numbers.
all Target diecast start with 08707xxxx.
087 stands for boy toys
07 stands for die cast
last four are the item number.
i. e., current lents are 087070921.
they are NCF.
the other numbers that I specified are the price.
then the desciptions on the display screen, not including the words DISNEY PIXAR

The way Mattel couldn’t finish Cars 1 movie in 5 years makes it sorta tough to even think about starting another collection that they wont finish, just saying. 🙂

Very nice work Danvers!! Has anyone talked to a Target Sales dude with a PDA? When the employee enters the DCPI, it should tell him the SET DATE for Target. 🙂

Am I the only one on this site willing to wait until May to get these cars? The anticipation of waiting for these cars will make finally getting them that much better.
Funny Bobby Jack. Sure there are others that have patience. For others though it an obsession and for some it’s important to be one of the first to get them. These Cars make children out of many adults.
I was particularly amused when a long time collector recently posted they would wait to see the movie before deciding whether to buy the line or not.
Like anyone believed this person wouldn’t keep collecting, Yeah right. I wonder if this person actually believed themself? I won that bet.
Well a few days later that same collector is calling stores a few hundred miles away and excitingly bragging they have the cars on the way.
You will come across all kind of collectors during the ride. Don’t let anything surprise you especially the compulsive nature of some collectors.
I gotta save some money so I can buy all these new cars when they come out. My son is only three and he thinks it is so cool to go into six or seven stores just looking for Cars! I have about 10 in reserve,(not counting the ones we just got in trades)to give him between now and May. My wife is positive that I am obsessed!
Bobby Jack, I was just at Walmart this morning (April 1) and talked to the toy section manager and he said that next week they will set up whole new section for Car2. I assume that the cars will be soon to fill the pegs after that, I mean for them to set up a whole new section and then not have anything on the pegs would be crazy.
It IS Walmart … and it IS April Fool’s Day, isn’t it??? 😆
If they put them on the shelf. I will buy them. If they wait until May 17, I will wait. Two weeks ago, the Walmart in Hagerstown, MD put out 3 cases of the latest lenticulars and deluxe Mater Tall Tales. I got 3 Chase McQueens, 2 Chase Yetis and 2 lenticular Wilmer Flattz, 3 Music Video Maters and a Padre. Traded all except one of the Maters for my son and lenticular Wilmer Flattz because no one wanted them. I went back to the Walmart today and ALL the rest of the Lenticulars were GONE except for a few McQueens and a Ron Hover. These things are selling strong so I’m sure the big box stores will have plenty of Cars 2 stuff in stock.
Well at least the Cars 2 items are appearing online again, this time in Albany, (NY, I assume):

And another seller in Virginia.
He also has the first two playsets and the “Lights and Sound”-versions
of Finn, McQueen and Mater…
