Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS 2: Fan Stands Play & Display Case

No idea what it actually looks like …

Or this?

But the description is intriguing …

Fan Stands Play ‘N’ Display Case Ultimate Cars fans deserve an extraordinary showroom. This detailed display case stores a whopping 40 die-cast Cars vehicles! With one quick transformation, the case goes from rolling storage to a stadium straight out of the film with pop-up pennant flags and a section of two-lane racetrack in front. There’s even a checkered flag that raises and lowers to start the race! Which cars will take to the track and who will cheer from the sidelines? Re-create favorite film scenes or invent your own racing rivalries! Ages 3 and over.

And when the latch breaks and your 40 CARS come tumbling out, please use swear words appropriate for those ages 3 and UNDER. :-0

40 CARS seems pretty heavy unless it’s all just Luigi & Professor Z.

But it sounds interesting – just think only 15 of these will hold most of your CARS & CARS 2 collection – well at least through 2011.

The UPC is: 0-27084-97189-7

    very cool–

met has there been any word on if they would ever put out a case to hold the rubber tire racers kmart put out, or is that something that will never happen.

    (MET: Well, not a case … 🙂 ).

That would be awesome if you could hook enough of them together to build your own Motor Speedway of the South. Right now this is the only playset we want out of what has been mentioned coming soon so far. None of the Cars 2 playsets look that interesting. I hope the Radiator Springs playsets get released again. We have Flo’s V8 Cafe but nothing else yet. My Cars budget is limited, so I would have to convince my wife to buy the rest of the town for the kids.

This movie is going to be a treasure trove of cars for years to come!

On a side note: I found an error lenticular cruisin mcqueen with decal missing on one side of the car (the side on the front). It looks kinda cool without the decal. Anyone else find some of these? Walmart is where I found it.

    Hopefully someone will provide photos.

This could be a great addition… we’ll have to see pictures…

Oh this you give the UPC for.

    LOL.

I notice that Cars 2 features a lot of real cars. On the picture above Opel, Honda, Fiat, Mini, Toyota, Datsun. On other pictures BMW, Land Rover, Audi, Mercedes, Aston Martin and so on.

I wonder if Mattel has struck a licensing deal with all those manufacturers to sell their Cars diecast thru their dealerships. For European collectors that would increase the amount of places where you can buy Cars dramatically 😉

    • jestrjef says:

that could be VERY interesting!! 🙂

    • rhalf says:

more european salespoints…like the sound of that 🙂

    • Stig McQueen says:

Oh, you can be certain that Disney and Pixar struck a licensing deal with each and every automaker whose car resembles a CARS2 character. The bigger question is, did Disney/Pixar have to shell out big bucks for the privilege, or were the automakers lined up around the block begging to be included?

Whether or not the European car dealers would want to turn their showrooms into a “toy store” is a separate issue.

Intriguing! And to think I just ordered 2 more display cases from CTC. It might be fun to have 1 of these to play with. We need a good pic of it! 🙂
