Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Mater Toon Wrestling CARS Case Assortments

I think the first case is CASE F – I have sort of lost track so the assortment should be right even if the case letter code might be a tad off on the next CAR Toons Deluxe – Megasize releases …

CASE F

REPEAT (first case arrived or arriving).

Next case …

CASE H (or something something)

And no CASE I (I is always skipped) …

CASE J (or close)

Yep, FINALLY … well, finally scheduled …

Thanks for filling in the info gaps, “Children’s Toy Closet.”

Of course, no street dates on any of the cases or whether they will follow one another and whether they fall under 2010 or whether they’ll arrive in October?

You can check with Children’s Toy Closet if they’re taking pre-orders … and or verify the case codes … give us a shout when you start to see these on the shelves …

Have to agree with the sentiment. It’s nice we see what’s supposed to be coming but what good is it if we can’t actually get buy any.
Between the horrible distribution(well noted by most) and now the almost grind to a stop new releases it’s been hard on collectors lately.
I wondr what percentage of these Cars are bought by collectors compared to the casual buyer? because Mattel and the major retailers are not being good to collectors lately. That’s for sure.
This summer has been terrible for Cars collecting. The worst one yet. There are supposed to be many releases between now and Christmas. How long?

Hmmmmpf. . . I sure am glad I saw these at SDCC. . . because it will probably be the first and last time. Not sure what century these will reach Montana….

Thank goodness for good friends on Take 5 🙂 Always lots of people willing to lend a helping hand!

Aaahhhh. More Cars we’ll never see here in Oklahoma City.

  • Nice to see something of El Materdor finally coming out. The monster trucks look cool. The only thing I don’t get is the fact that Beanie Mater is Mega-Sized. He kinda looks more like a single car rather than mega-sized. Why did they put Beanie Mater in the mega-size group instead of the singles group? Did they think the hat was too big to fit in a singles blister?

    • Carlos says:

This has already been discussed before. See my reply to cac1959 below. I think that’s why they’re now called Mega Duluxe. I wish that Mater is at least metal, like they used to be. Also, did regular megasize make the Toys R Us cut? Their sales seemed to help. I hope they do. They’re the only place I know that still has them. I hope so. I think the semis killed the megas. Later, I’ll post all the megasize case assortments.

  • cac1959 says:

I just can’t get excited about these anymore… too many times of not finding anything new…

How about new products from the movie? How about making them available to online resellers for those of us without local access to Target, Toys R Us, and/or Kmart?

I’d like to finish what I want from the first movie… right now I’m undecided about even collecting from Cars 2 when it comes out…

And many of the earlier Cars Toon Mater items were Mega Sized… Rescue Squad Mater, High Dive Mater, Cannonball Mater… made it seem like a good deal when Dr Mater came out as a single…

    • Carlos says:

Yeah, I agree. I know that Dr. Mater (Masks up, down, and disguised), along with drift party Mater, plus Bubbles and One Eye were regular, but all the others are mega. Why? Mater is so not megasize. And, on the Megasized list, cone teeth Mater (From Mater & The Ghostlight) was mega too. Why? All these Maters may warm shelves if they are mega size.

(MET: Well, now they are DELUXE to avoid any confusion … or size comparison … 🙂 ).

      • Carlos says:

I think that’s why they call it Deluxe. Those Maters seem a bit more metal to me, and they also have hats, ladders, helmets, etc. Also, when is the next K Mart Cars Day?

(MET: Prob October 16 – maybe Oct 23).

  • I-am-speed says:

Looks to me like Beanie Mater shares the same frame as One-Eye Mater, with the raised up rear wrecker bed.

Just the addition of the beanie cap moves him up to Mega? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • 5oclockshadow says:

the toons are ‘Mater’ tales, yet we still get more McQueens… er McMeans.. I am guessing these will bog down the shelves after case G, and we will be lucky to see the rest.

  • Brown Fury says:

Those just might tempt me to buy some (since I’m not buying much of anything Cars lately…). Bring them on!

  • Patrick says:

really, they’re using mater with hat as a mega? ugghhh!

  • Edge says:

I’ll believe the contents of case J when I see them! 🙂
