Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Kmart Price Rollback … To 2001?

Okay, CARS didn’t actually come out until 2006 but Kmart is rolling back the prices to 2001?

Are just the Kmart CARS Day 4 CARS on sale? Do they have a different UPC than the lenticulars?

IN STORE only – not online.

And NOT everywhere? I could not find it in my circular but maybe I just didn’t look hard enough?

So, stock up because you know 30-minutes after the last one is sold …

Thanks “EV” for the heads up and link.

And please if you’re picking up a barrel of snacks, wash your hands of orange cheese dust before playing with rubber tire CARS …

    Salem NH KMart

I noticed this sale a couple of weeks ago. Like mentioned elsewhere, the only Cars Day cars were one Vitoline,
a few RPM and tons of Leak Less. I don’t think the rest of the stock had changed much since I had been there for Cars day back in June.

Wow!! I will have to head to Kmart tonight to check this out. I haven’t purchased my last Kmart day cars yet. . . as i figured they would warm the pegs for months around here. $1.99?? I can’t pass that up!! I hope they are there 🙂

and SCORE! Got a full set and some other sets for friends. Can’t all cars go on this sale????????????

Or here is a marketing strategy Mattel should adopt. . . Each Cars2 car is only $2. . .makes sense 🙂

It seems in my area that WM, KM, and Target are finding old stock and placing it on the shelves. The most abundant being supercharged Mater. I did however luck up and find a WOC Race-o-rama Milton Calypeer and Andrea.

Got a feeling like kmart1 cars we will see an abundance of these kmart day cars in the UK in future.

  • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

That’s what happens with overproduction and lack of demand!

At my Kmart in Denver I was able to pick up the Lenticular Luigi/Guido and a Flo for $1.99. The Lenticulars were on the same pegs as the KM4 ones which they had tons of them left.

“30 minutes after they last one is sold”
    So true Met.
So many Cars seem in abundance for awhile. Most of us pass after we get what we think is enough. Then a short time down the road the same Cars we passed up are in demand again.
Seems like Kmart day 4 and 5 are suddenly making Kmart days 1-3 cars more needed again.
Who knows maybe someday a rubber tire Transberry will be just as valuable as the original plastic tire one.
Shouldn’t we eventually see a Transberry Juice and View Zeen launcher as well? Aren’t they supposed to make them all?

I went to a Wal-Mart recently and made out with a Skip Ricter, a CHASE LMQ w/ Rust-eze Can, a LMQ w/ Cone, and a Color Changers DJ and Boost. SCORE!!!!!

  • Mike in Virginia says:

Our KMart had pretty much ANY of the rubber tire Piston Cup Racers for $1.99. Didn’t try buying any lenticulars, so cannot speak to that. Until about a week ago, our KMart still had a number of KMart Days 3 cars, like Octane Gain, Trunk Fresh, Re-Volting, Rev N Go, and Leak Less. Those are finally starting to disappear now, except for the dozens of Leak Less still hanging around. Did they make 4 billion Leak Less cars?

  • John in Missouri says:

Maybe Wal-Mart and Target could learn from this!

  • Mooseman says:

That’s crazy, they’re having a lot of trouble selling them!

  • old hippie says:

I don’t know about the circular ad, but they were on sale here this week. I took back 24 of the 58 that I bought on KM4 day.

  • Mariela says:

I saw only lenticulars for $1.99

  • cac1959 says:

Our Kmart had loads of KM4 singles and one ROR McQueen… all scanned at $1.99… I should take back the ones I bought at KM4…

However, mega size were $9.49… haulers were $14.79… 3 packs were $12.29…
