San Diego Comic Con: Lego Next 2010

While they had a lot of CARS Duplo sets ready for sale in the booth, nothing new to add to the oeuvre as your typical 2-year might say …

But in case – on the off chance you’re a Star Wars fan, there are some fun things coming …

In case you didn’t want to spend $200 to build this, it’s back and how can you resist Han in carbonite … Lego style?

And it’s a TRAP! You cannot just buy one … Resistence is futile …

Dude, the wampa is back!

And normally, I do not have room for the giant set but I will make room for this …

(see figures for scale of this thing).

And the Harry Potter sets are back!

I cannot find the pic of Hagrid but he’s back and beardy! About the same size as the wampa 🙂

And 450 winners a day could BUY the set of the official cube dudes …

I’m pretty sure they were inspired by this guy who can apparently randomly create SW figures from 25 Lego bricks … I can make a green wall with 25 Lego bricks …

Check out the guy’s page on FLICKR Here.

Or if you a few thousand bricks …

Looks like Christmas and birthday shopping for Stig Jr. is going to be incredibly easy this year!

I heard next year they are taking out the Comic from Comic-Con and using Hollywood-Con instead.

  • Re: Cube Dudes

“This guy”? Really? You didn’t make the connection between Cars and the creator of the Cube Dudes?

Angus MacLane is an animator at Pixar! He worked on Cars. He wrote, directed and is the voice of Burn-E.

And he is really good with Lego. His Wall-E is awesome.

Resistance is futile??? Have the Borg crossed genre’s and invaded Star Wars???

The Wompa is back??? Does that mean he is already released, because I am positive there is a set like that in the shops near here?

We’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new Star Wars sets, Bobba Fett is WAY too cool. My boys have been playing the new Lego Harry Potter video game and can’t wait for October for the new Lego HP sets.

BTW I actually found Johnny, Jamie and Cone LMQ at Target today!

Started collecting the Lego Mini-figs. Series 1 and soon Series 2 which should be out in Sept. We have a newly opened Lego store here. The store is always packed full of people and change displays every week. They have the latest always on display.

I LOVE the Lego Store. I don’t buy Lego anywhere else since they have the VIP program. I save up points the whole year and use them at Christmas time
