Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Next Megasize Bessie? Which One?

Is the megasize case finally the one with Bessie?

But an interesting development – there seems to be two versions floating around – clean & dirty version … which one will see a release as megasize first?

And then maybe we’ll see one in a some sort of box set with Lightning with a tow package?

Currently McQueen cannot actually tow this Bessie – though she has a sort of a hitch, McQueen does not have anything to hook onto …

Mystery? Or no mystery?

Thanks for the nice pics, “003.”

Dirt, dirty girl… I’ll take two!

    • Eric says:

Good deal on the case price, Jake! From the looks of your packaged photos, it will be Clean Bessie, right? Where are the photos from, or more importantly, how old are those photos? Lastly, when are you getting them in?!?

      • Well, the assortment I received just states Bessie, it does not distinguish whether it is the dirty or clean version. The picture is a stock photo, so actual packaging may vary. They should be in next month but we all know there are no guarantees when it comes to Matty distribution. I may be able to get a few cases sooner than that but this is an allocated product, meaning that each Mattel sales division is only allotted x amount to distribute amongst all of their orders.

        Hope that helps.

Isn’t this to be “Deluxe” instead of “Mega Size” or something???

  • Jinzo says:

Can’t wait till this comes out! LOL πŸ˜€ Still haven’t seen Mega TJ yet… it usually takes 2 months from the first posting for me to see them in the store.

  • Mike H says:

They’ll probably aadd a lenticular sticker in the little trough where the tar comes out, so when you move, it’ll look like tar is being poured.

Though as well…the concept of how does Bessie attach to anyone still puzzles me.

  • AlbertHinkey says:

It’s gotta be bessie ridin’ dirty. I think clean bessie is a China sample variant.

I’m more interested in how much of her is actually metal?
    πŸ™‚

(MET: Pretty substantially – just the gray parts are plastics along with the tow hitch – the rest is a pretty giant hunk of metal …).

I hope we’ll see some new Mega Size soon. Around here the pegs…and stock rooms are full of Semi’s. I still hope Disney Store will do a Bessie. Disney Store Frank was a great piece. πŸ™‚

    A couple of notes…

Shouldn’t the material piled in Bessie be black, not grey? Bessie is supposed to be laying Asphalt.

Second, it may be the angle of the photos, but it looks like the mound of aggregate piled in her is in a different location in each version, which would indicate two different molds?

    • Kevin W says:

Asphalt is a mixture of sand, gravel, and oil. It looks like the gray bin represents the sand/gravel mixture and the black tanks represent the oil. Years ago, when I was in college, I worked at an asphalt plant. We mixed the components before they left the plant. But apparently, Bessie mixes it on the fly.

  • kdthomas says:

…or since there is no packaging I would think someone from the factory took it off the conveyor before it got it’s finaly paint job and out the back door.

  • babychristianscars says:

Bessie NO eyes is this the newest series No painted on, no moving eyes now we get cars no eyes LOL.

I know Bessie didn’t have eyes in the movie.

  • Jeaks says:

I found one of these a couple of weeks ago in Big W (Perth Australia). I thought it had come out ages ago. Was only one Bessie there, and I took no notice of the other megasizes as i already had them.

    (MET: Dirty or clean?)

    • Hostile Takeover Banker says:

What?!? and you didn’t show or tell me??? Please let me know if you find more!

      • Jeaks says:

HTB, yes I am sorry I did mean to tell you and show you. With all that has happened it just slipped my mind and because sitting in cupboard out of sight/out of mind.

And of course if there had been two I would have got the extra for you. I have not seen again but given Mattel’s distribution is as predicable as a serial killer with dementia who knows where will see again.

        And it is dirty

  • Laurence says:

my guess would be the dirty version….but if not, bring it on anyway….any bessie is better than no bessie

  • jestrjef says:

NICE EITHER WAY!! πŸ™‚ We would like to find a couple of those!

  • Kevin W says:

If history is any indication of the future, the dirty one will be the one that is readily available at the regular price. The clean one will be in an overpriced combo package.
