Where the heck is a Fred Meyers? Is that an east coast store? I live in So. Cal. and have never seen one.
(MET: Northwest to Plain-Central States – other supermarkets might get the POP … but Fred Meyer tends to carry more toys than most supermarkets).

Fred Meyer is a great one-stop shop if you have little ones and want 1 hour of shopping w/ free baby-sitting. Can’t use it anymore since the kids are too old for the service.
A little pricey on a lot of items, but have found some REALLY REALLY great deals there.

Actually Fred Meyer is a lot cheaper than Wal-Mart when it comes to most items. Wal-Mart also carries a lot of products that have been watered down one way or another to meet wal-Mart’s price point. Fred Meyer continuously has chain wide sales while Wal-Mart prices items throughout their different stores to maximize profits. Within driving distance I find different prices on all kinds of staples with the highest prices in communities that have the least competition.
As to sales, although Fred Meyer charges $3.99 for a lenticular, Fred’s has constant buy two get one free sales. It recently ran that kind of sale on its Cars launchers and haulers. This week until 12/5 the Rescue sets are $14.99 with an additional 10% off coupon on many departments including toys. Certain action figures are now buy 2 get one free. Littlest Pet Shops the same. Buy two Barbie dolls get one free. On top of the current 10% off for the general public, all guests 55 or older get an additional 10% off every Tuesday until Christmas.
So this week I will be able to buy Rescue sets for $14.99 less 10% less 10% or $11.99 +/- a couple pennies. Bea that Wal-Mart! 🙂

PS: Also get 10 cent per gallon off gas at the pump using their rewards card which refund 1% of your purchases every three months.

After Griffin blew out the candles he pressed the button to launch Mater out of the canon. Mater hit the side of the fire ring and ended up landing bumper first in the cake right next to McQueen! I have a great picture of it. It was sooo funny!!!

I usually bake his b-day cakes but not this year. I had to work a lot of hours so I made it easy on myself and picked up a Carvel ice cream cake with vanilla and chocolate layers. The chocolate crunchy cake pieces in the middle are the best part! 😀

so where did you get the mcqueen with all the rockets, the light up flame ring and the tiltable cannon plus ramps? is there a decorators set that you can order for some ungodly price at a store? cuz we bought the the play set, and none of those peices were that cool. but still cool. ya know?
That is the UK version of the Mater Stunt playset which a UK Take5 member sent me. I think it’s now available on disneystore.com. 🙂
