The pre-order time has CHANGED …
It is now 3 PM CDT or 4 PM EDT, 2 PM MDT and 1 PM PDT (US Time Zones) so plan accordingly.
There is no word yet if international orders are accepted and they are working on determining a limit – if any.

BTW, if you sign for Kmart’s weekly emails, they will send you two coupons – one for $5 off online and one for $5 off in-store (both with $50 minimum purchase). WARNING – the two coupon expire fairly quickly so you will NOT be able to use the in-store coupon after 24 hours so you cannot use it on the in-store CARS day in 3 weeks.
If you want a coupon to use in-store only – do NOT sign up the Kmart email until 10/16 to be absolutely certain it will NOT expire.
You will then get an email like this …
As you can see, the online coupon is good for a week but the in-store coupon expires in 24 hours.
We do not have a direct link yet but THIS SUNDAY, at the times listed above – the link at kmart.com will go live for the special Kmart-only exclusive rubber tires Piston Cup racers case.
Each case is $95.76 (or 24 X $3.99).
We are working on getting info for the exact case assortment but 19 of the CARS in this case will one of the 7 Piston Cup racers.

I wonder what the price of the Cars will be at the actual event.
Right now my local K-Mart’s are holding the single packs at $3.69 which is the best price in town (except for Fred Meyer’s week sale for $2.00). Some stores still have “real” rubber synthetic tires from K-Mart II. Last night I aw at the Lakewood (Pierce County) WA store the mega sized Car Toons selling at $7.99, which included the Cannon Ball Mater. Down the road at Wal-Mart the mega are $6.47 or so +/- a couple of pennies. The cardback of the Mater Cannonball shows all four megas.
As to K-Mart III, I’ll wait for the event. Somehow I ended up with three sets of K-Mart II “real” rubber tire sets???? 🙁

Pre-ordering goes against my personal boycott of purchasing any of the lenticular line. I would have passed anyway on this case, and will wait for the store event. Somehow, I don’t think they are going to be having many issues with setting a limit on cases
Any idea if there will be better quality control on the assortments this time around? Or will it just be a “projected” assortment with room for error?

Me too. Will pick up only the piston cup racers. Other lenticular are useless to me. Been having those since the Supercharged set came out. What a waste of metal. Come on Mattel what’s up with the 900 regular Mcqueens in a case? Seriously… Mattel is not being green. LOL 😀
I am going to pre-order 1 case for myself this time. I won’t be buying nearly as many Cars as I did during the second event.
