Disney Pixar: Disney Blu Ray Upgrade Coupon

Great news. If you buy *select* Disney Blu Ray DVD’s , you can print out a coupon if you own the VHS or (regular) DVD.

Right now, it only applies to in-store purchases. There does not seem to be a way to apply the coupon online anywhere including Disney Store.com.

Snow White DVD

BTW, there are other Snow White versions coming out – only THIS “Diamond Edition” is eligible for the coupon.

You can either go to this Disney “Blu-Ray” Upgrade Site

Disney Blu WM

And then click on the “Snow White offer” panel page to jump to this page below … or just CLICK HERE (or the graphic below):

Disney Rewards Snow

Step One is easy – find your DVD or VHS of Snow White …

Step Two is also pretty easy, either JOIN NOW to create a new Disney Movie Rewards membership or LOG IN if you already are a member …

Then after you LOG IN or CREATE a new account, you’ll be at the ‘home page” of the Disney Movie Rewards club … (or just directly to the LOGIN page HERE)

home page

On the right side, ENTER THE CODE. Note, you want to enter in ALL THE UPC numbers of your VHS or DVD including the tiny numbers set off to the right and the left. Then click GO.

You should get this page if you entered in the number correctly …

code page

Note, the UPC number is blocked out here on the left. I’m not sure Disney really cares if you share your UPC code since you could easily walk into any store and copy the number off – and of course, it’s not you are getting anything free – just a coupon πŸ™‚

Then either click on CONTINUE or next to DOPEY, Get your coupon US or Canada …

Now, comes the “security” part.

You have to install a “coupon printer” app. The process is very smooth and easy and I think 50% of it is to legitimately help people because we all know on a PC, 95% of people download something and cannot find where it’s been stashed … or the printer driver prints something at 2% or 2,000% … good luck scanning that at a register but the other 50% reason is obviously, it’s pretty easy to print one coupon to PDF and then upload it everyone on the internet. While it’s just a coupon, clearly, Disney (or another retailer) has a vested interested in tracking their coupons use (or misuse).

On the Mac, it was all very smooth, easy download, run installer – and then simply click PRINT COUPON.

And here’s what your coupon will look like (bar codes blurred out of course) πŸ™‚

couponBTW, I believe the Disney Store and Toys R Us offers an additional discount or gift if you pre-order. Presuming you can use this coupon when you pick it – that’s more savings …

Other Diamond Collection titles will fall under this “upgrade” offer – the next releases include Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, and Beauty and the Beast coming next. After that, future Diamond Collection Blu Ray DVD’s include:Β  The Lion King, Bambi, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians, Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio.

Yes, no Pixar titles are listed which may not mean much as they might simply be grouped differently but as of NOW, the UP, CARS, or MONSTERS, INC. Blu Ray DVD’s coming later in November are NOT part of this program.
