Disney Pixar Toy Story: John Lasseter Video & Toys For “Andy.”
Via DisneyStore.com (though actually hosted on Disney Consumer Products YouTube Channel – Disney Living), John Lasseter is featured in short videos talking indepth about each of the special Thinkway Toys Toy Story toys coming this Fall (most are already out) since Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D are coming in two weeks.

Yes, it will be. Pixar announced that all of their feature films from this point forward will be in 3D stereo. Personally, I’m waiting for “Finding Nemo” 3D. I think that one would lend itself great to 3D stereo.
I thought that “UP” worked quite well in 3-D, great 3-D effect. What did you think?
These look great, but I still have SEALED toys from the FIRST TWO MOVIES! 🙂 I would love to have them be ADOPTED by some other loving family so we could continue with our Cars Collecting!! If anyone is interested in more info . . . you know where to find me!! 😉
Well needless to say my husband has already gotten several of these toys, Woody, Buzz, RC and the Aliens. I suspect he will eventually get the entire collection. We’re waiting for a Mr. Potato Head to scale. They really are great toys and fun for any kid no matter what his age 🙂
The RC is very fun to play with. We got him for my son for his birthday. It has follow mode, responds to voice, and explore mode which includes obstacle detection. Just a heads up, but Target sells him for $20 cheaper than Toys R Us (I think it was $59.99 vs $79.99).
I saw the super-ultimate Buzz Lightyear with a box the size of a small infant! I almost ran into a woman at Toys R Us staring at the box, and had to go over and take it down and try it out.
At Walmart the other day, I saw a game called “Toy Story Mania” for Wii.
I think it came with a ticket for Toy Story and or Toy Story 2 in 3D.
These look SOO cute but they are ridiculously priced in Canada…for instance the 3 pack of LGMs, the 3 eyed aliens, are $40 here…TOO MUCH!!
We have bought a few toys though and Jeanne and chuki_mama have been getting me some of the minis of Toy Story, that are not available here! Thanks Ladies!
Are they going to make a Jesse doll? We have Buzz & Woody & would like to get Jesse for our daughter. I have seen the toys at the Disney Store, TRU & Target, but no Jesse.
Don’t despair, Mara! There IS a Jessie(check your spelling of Jessie(not Jesse)) doll….TRU had them the other day, with a pull-string for her to speak, much like Woody. It was NOT with the main Toy Story items display, but over in a separate display with some other Toy Story items near the entrance at our store. It was a fantastic likeness to Jessie, I’ll say that. $34.99

I saw one of these at our local TRU as well, but I also noted that she was not from the “Toy Story Collection” line, which makes me wonder if one is still in the planning? -The TS collection toys are the ones that come with a Lasseter certificate of authenticity and tend to have a few more bells and whistles than their cheaper counterparts.
Our TRU in Las Vegas has a Jessie pull string doll. It’s not the “Toy Story Collection” version. I think it was about $35. I can check again if you’d like.

We got toy story collection buzz for my son’s birthday a couple weeks ago. It’s an awesome toy. Worth the $50.

Thanks everyone. I think that was a part of my problem, spelling it wrong. I will have to look this weekend for Jessie at TRU. I have only been looking in the Toy Story area.
Already bought some of the toys with the initial intention of shelving them, but I couldn’t resist opening some. And I must admit these new Toy Story Collection toys are AMAZING! I wish I had toys like this when I was a kid! My daughter is now constantly asking me if she can play with Buzz, or if I can break out RC, so she can play with him. 🙂 So, although I guess I bought them with the intention of being Al (from Al’s Toy Barn), instead I think they’re going to wind up with my daughter’s name on the bottom of their feet (or tires).
I can resist the toys. and unfortunately I am one of those that can’t watch movies in 3D, so I will be skipping the double feature. It would be cool to see them in the theaters again.
