Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Storytellers 2008 3-Packs at Target.com
The Storytellers CARS released last year have returned … in 3-pack form – only online as of right now but it should mean that stores will be getting them any moment now.

But for now, you can order some of the 2008 re-releases online.
It does not look like the outside front design has changed (other than to reflect the new configurations of CARS, of course) but the inside flap & cardback featured the CARS available in the lineup and since there are changes from Storytellers 1.0 in 2008 to this years release, you have to presume the inside & back will look different.

Does anyone know:Is the Fred, which is available with Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and Smell Swell, the original scale or the rescaled version?

It is the rescaled, non-stickers version.
Not wanting to correct Met but is the rescaled small size Fred and No stickers as Jake states.
It should be. I am pretty sure I still have one but will have to look later. Too many orders to pack and emails to answer to do it right now.
According to target.com he is the “rescaled Fred.” But, they have the Fred, Smell Swell and Fabulous Hudson, and the Sponsorless McQueen, New Mater and Doc Hudson listed as the same set: i.e. the Fred set. How do you know if you’re getting the right one?
I think these are a welcome re-release as they are not/were not by any means widely available. Bring on the new ones too!

I’ve been waiting for them (Mattel) to decide that one tractor is not enough! Bring on the sleeping tractor!
