Does anyone know if there was a change in case assortment from early on for the rescue squad mega sized? I ordered from CTC a case with
Rescue Squad Mater (2)
Rescue Squad Chopper (2)
Rescue Squad Ambulance (2)
but havent gotten yet & the cannonball mater is out with these same cars.
What is the UPC for Burnt Cannonball Mater?
went back today to get some more Cannonball Maters for a friend, thinking they would restock.
Not only were they all gone, but the pegs were completely restocked with regular Megas, Dustin, Cabs, Svens etc. It was like the Carstoons Megas had not even been there at all. The case B was all gone.
I managed to get two Cannonballs last night but left the Chopper and RS Mater. Those were gone this morning. the planogram had no space on it for Carstoons at all. If I had not seen them the night before, I would have never known they had been there. So is this a one shot for Walmart on Case B?
BTW the red line around the tires in the picture, never made it to the Car itself. A little detail that was missed.

any chance these are not diecast, and these are the same ones from the Mater the Greater set? makes sense from Mattel standpoint, increase the cost and decrease the quality=more money.

An easy way to tell for anyone who is opening is to look at the rivets. If it is die cast you will see normal rivets, but if it is plastic you will see screws instead.

I was able to pick up a Burnt Cannonball Mater this afternoon. The two that were on the pegs were different, the burnt spots and some other differences also, they seem kind of lite, i think that they might be all plastic.

I bought two today, and they are light. The paint is slightly different but that is pretty normal, colors and decorations may vary.
Sure hope these aren’t plastic.
The mater the greater that comes with the playset is different from the normal one (megasize)?

I have a question. Is walmart the only place that has this Case b so far or does Toys r us have them also. The bag in the first photo from Tony looks like a Toys r us bag in the background. Sorry to be a snoop but it looks as if there is a dc universe double pack in the bag but now that I look at the pic more closely is that the Gotham city 5 pack. If so then I answered my own question Walmart only so far. Any info would be great thanks everyone.

Yeah I was tempted to buy one also but I figured 70 dollars worth of cars or thus dc set that will just sit in my closet. I picked cars. But I must admit it’s a real nice set. I heard walmart was only getting 2 shippment of this and that was it. Any who thanks for the info.

as you can tell, nobody really knows for sure when they are actually coming out, just like mattel huh. hey jake, can you order these?
I looked but don’t see anything listed for the DC Universe 2-Packs. I only see singles. It is possible that because these guys have larger operations that they are privy to items I cannot get.
I got the Mater from Wal-Mart. The DC pack is actually 2 3-packs I picked up from Ross for $3.99 each for my nephew.

Sad in Colorado: Every time I have a day off, I make the rounds to Target, Walmart, and TRU. Sometimes more than one Walmart and Target, in search of new Cars. I have been disappointed many a time. I don’t know why Colorado seems to be the last in getting anything new. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a little (LOT) dissapointed that this case is not going to be ALL Mater the Greater…I foolishly thought Mattel had learned their lesson and was going to do ALL NEW Cases….

For once I got a good price on Cars. I am going to return my overpriced Ambulance, Helicopter, Mater TRU ones at 7.99 each.

Here would have been their opportunity to create a color shifter, right? Cold = clean Mater, Hot = burnt?

I just hope we get the diving, flying and rocket Maters soon! Are they going to be MS or regular? Seems silly that they keep flip-flopping between the sizes with Mater.
Steven from England a great trader has picked up the English version of the Mater the greater game for John and some other members. It comes with rocket Mater and Rocket McQueen. It also has an electronic ring of fire and a key launcher option to launch the cars. It’s a great set. Any wanting one should contact him to see if he can get more. Met did a post on this about a month ago or so.
