Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Todd Delivers …

A thing of beauty is a joy forever … and now the most frakin’ beautiful CAR to behold …

It’s too beautiful in every imaginable way …

It is everything we could have imagined.

I did mentioned this is the greatest diecast line ever?

No detail or exhaust is too exhausting to recreate.

No, you’re the chosen one!

Todd gets to to go to a far, far better place … in your front door and in your hands.

See ya, I’m going off to the Cannes Film Fest – look for my cameo in UP! I’ll be the guy delivering pizzas … yea, typecasted once again … but hey, I’ll be in a yacht spraying starlets with the warm Coke that’s been rolling around out back …

I could do a movie moment with Elvis but hey, who would buy us together?

And over-shadowed, Patti Pasternakimujamuikigreston – Smith.*

* okay, I made up that last name but I’d pay to see that on a name ticket 🙂

You guy’s really crack me up ): To find/generate the files on Todd was crazy, as none existed. 🙁

I think it would have been easier to get into Air Force One at Fail Safe. But we did it and you got it…….

Hope you like him but there are other sculpts coming that will make you say, “Todd who?”.

If I’m lying I’m crying. Git ‘er done.

  • BMW says:

Each Todd is unique. Small differences in the dirt makes each car slightly different. I love the dents in the hood and tailgate. The streaky mud is very much like farm trucks you see around here after a thunderstorm on rural county roads. Very realistic, the mud thrown up from the wheelwells. Just a fantastic example of the best.

Only wish that the front bumper was more rusty like the screenshot, but that is just minor. Glad he’s dirty. Oh, where is his license plate? Maybe Pizza Planet’s motor vehicle dept has different rules.

  • Brown Fury says:

Did we all just discover one of the “lost’ sponsors? If I get the guts/time/ambition to do a custom it’s gonna be a Pizza Planet racer!

  • TarheelBill says:

Found 2 Todd and 2 Patti at WM here in NC yesterday. 🙂 There were also 2 Elvis on the pegs. No Franks yet.

  • Samuel says:

I absolutely love this sculpt and amazed by the outstanding job they did with the detailing. I personally wouldn’t want it any “cleaner.” I think this epitomizes “rolling pieces of art” and almost felt guilty when I bought a few at Walmart for only $3 each yesterday – almost felt like stealing 🙂

  • Albert Hinkey says:

Met, the final Todd looks a lot more like the “Reject” Todd from your March post than cleaned up sample Todd. Would have been cool if he was a little cleaner like the sample.

    How say you.

(MET: It’s not really possible to tell from the film as the camera does not show his top very well … From the Pixar supplied screenshot (on the card), you do see dirt around the edges of the windows so they wanted to dirty the top a little – the prototype is clear white which presumably would not be correct – so the end result is some streaky dirt – maybe not 100% realistic but maybe he took a nap under a leaky roof 🙂 ).

  • Mike H says:

I just had a crazy thought: if Cars 2 takes place around the world, I wonder how they’ll add in Todd? Maybe he’ll be one of the throngs at some California airport waving goodbye with their antennas or rearview mirrors.

    • PirateDad says:

      Italy of course!!

      ooohhh ooooohhhh

      OR Pizza Planet!!!

(MET: Todd drives by, McQueen says I LOVE PIZZA … Mater goes, it’s good pizza here but the best was that little place by the piazza … you remember, you was there 🙂 ).

  • bmc says:

Scored Todd and Patti today. Can’t wait for my 2 yr old to really make him canon.

  • Knightrider says:

Hey Guys, its been a while since i posted, I’ve been going through a rough patch, but have come out the other side!
This is pretty far off topic (SORRY MET), but i didn’t know where to post it.
I’m coming travelling to the USA and Canada in February next year, for 4 whole months and wondered if anyone had any tips on places to go that arent in the guidebooks? Nowhere is too far!

(MET: Glad to hear it KR … Have fun in the US of A and Canada!)

  • I don’t know Met…do you really like Todd? I can’t tell. Could it be that you like him more than Dustin!? 😉

(MET: That’s a pretty close call 🙂 but I think it might be Todd now with his little dirt sparks 🙂 ).

  • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

Just in case anybody missed my previous postings concerning Todd’s cameo appearances in all the Pixar films, here is the site:

(MET: Report in when you see UP 🙂 ).

  • collectormom says:

Todd is so super awesome; I found 2 at TRU with Patti and nearly peed my pants 🙂

  • PirateDad says:

    You have been CHOSEN!!!

  • iamspeed says:

You have to imagine the Buzz is buckled in up in the cab, and Woody is riding around in the back with the tool box sliding around, after they hitch a ride from the Dinoco gas station.

  • Laurence says:

it truly is one of the better vehicles to come out of the line – i was able to find 4 of them – one for each of us boys 🙂

  • njm says:

In my hands when? My WM has Barney and Al and that’s about it!!

  • jestrjef says:

oh I cannot wait to see him in person!!
