Mattel Pixar Diecast CARS: The Updated Movie Moments List – Autumn 2008

Remember a few weeks when this was unearthed from some Mattel archive and it was determined to be old artwork from a Movie Moment that Walmart passed on in favor of the TJ single … well, it’s baacccckkkk.

Only now it’s a Target exclusive as all Movie Moments are …

(of course, this card art is old so ignore the card itself).

This is NOT a case assortment as it’s hard to determine that now since no one can order any cases except for Target but this is the general order of release – yes, they might or will move things around, AND we don’t know if any of the previous Movie Moments have been retired or not.

We going to presume that a few items on the the top of the list should be out before the year is over but the others won’t be out until 2009.

Again, unless you can tap into the Target DB, we do NOT know when they will actually be out – just maybe 2008 but could all be 2009 … if you work for Target, email me with details, I will keep you anonymous …

The first set on the list is the Tumbleweeds McQueen & Doc Hudson two-fer, released internationally in some markets. Than after that …

& Mario Andretti.

This is an interesting choice – Lizzie & Statue Stanley which leads me to believe that some of the older Movie Moments (Desert Art & Wave 1 Supercharged Wave 1) packages of CARS are finally being retired? That the “mostly new” to World of CARS Movie Moments will live on (presumably) as WOC: Race O Rama Movie Moments:

Bob Cutlass & Darrell Cartrip
Dinoco Mia & Tia
Leakless & No Stall
Luigi & Ferrari F430
Mia & Tia
PT Flea & Flik
Rusty & Dusty Rust-Eze
Tex Dinoco & Dinoco Lightning McQueen
Tow Cap & Gasprin
The King & Mrs. The King

Now, it’s time to scramble to find Buzz & Woody? And Mike & Sully? 🙂

But it’s just a guess – as otherwise, wouldn’t most people prefer Red & Stanley the Statue versus Lizzie & the Statue?

Again, only Target employees can tell us when they are coming and what is or isn’t retired since we can uncover the UPC’s but not the Target internal code DCPI’s …
