I have had terrible trouble with the Matty site. Everytime I tried to place an order it came up saying “cart is empty” so I had to start again. Eventually I got an order confirmation number. I checked my emails but no confirmation emails so I looged back in to Matty and it said I had placed 5 orders! I immediately emailed customer services to explain something had gone wrong and to cancel the 4 extra orders but they have not replied to me. I have emailed them again now as I am getting worried they will send me 5 Maters and charge me $150 as I am having them sent to the UK. Does anyone have any other ideas?

    Thanks a lot,

    Jon

Ordered mine without any problems!! :D

  • Stig McQueen says:

Got mine; one for me, one for Stig Jr. Took @ 45min. to get in, but then just a brief wait to get to the Tokyo Mater page and another brief wait to complete the transaction. It goes by faster if you do other things instead of staring at the “waiting” screen (“5-4-3-2-1-refresh!-5-4-3-2-1-refresh! lather, rinse, repeat, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum…).

    • MiaSenorita says:

The refresh is painful to watch. . . when putting in preorders for pick up at the Con. . the SAME thing happened. . . REFRESH. . . REFRESH. . . siiiigh.

I ordered some more on Monday for a friend and wasn’t surprised to see the waiting screen. My biggest problem was trying to checkout once I had the stuff in the cart. It still kept refreshing every 5 seconds and I didn’t have long enough to type in my login info before it would refresh and everything would be gone! So I finally had to copy and paste my email and type the password as fast as I could, hit enter before it refreshed. . . Took about 30 minutes total to get two things in my cart, checked out and printed. Much better than the wait to buy comic con tickets during the refund period in june. 45 mintes of blank white screen! watching the little blue bar loading. . loading. . loading. . . . . . . . AHHHH!

I forgot that this was going live at noon EST. Oh well was just able to get in without any issues and get 2 of the Tokyo Maters. I wonder how long they will have stock for. They had them for weeks last year if I remember correctly.

Looks like some of the other stuff sold out fast though.

  • Chris says:

    I too bought 2 Matty S&^*s

  • Micky says:

Got through after an hour. Ordered 1 Lotso :)

  • Jinzo says:

Got mine in for 1… man… this was even more painful & stress full than last year… shipping is outrageous :-( Oh well…. I really hate mattycollector website with a passion… :-(

  • clasp99 says:

it keeps refreshing me before I can submit my order

  • RichardNixonsHead says:

    Yay, just confirmed my purchase!

And FWIW, I had the waiting screen for 45 mins before I got my chance!

  • Lorri says:

Finally, that was painful! got the order screen a couple times, kept going back to the “waiting room page” then kept giving me errors about SM deadlock, whatever that is!!! good grief!!!!

  • clasp99 says:

I just added 2 to my cart but got back to the busy screen.

  • Chris says:

I ordered 2 and have kicked off the conformation page 3 times
Matty is not my friend anymore

  • NascarFan says:

Tokyo Mater disappeared from the screen. sold out?

  • Micky says:

I’ve got 3 screens going, 2 Safari & 1 Firefox. All three are stuck on waiting page :(

I just got a page for 2 seconds and then back to waiting page???

  • MurdockM says:

I’m stuck at the busy page as well… and when it does refresh to the Mater page, it says item is “coming soon”… sigh

  • jedijson says:

Trying to get to the Matty Collector website.

    “Hey Toy Fan,

If you’re seeing this screen, it means we’re experiencing extraordinarily high levels of traffic. No need to worry — it’s a normal function of traffic management.

    The page will refresh in

PLEASE DON’T REFRESH YOUR SCREEN! To keep our servers performing properly, your request has been placed in a waiting room. This page will automatically refresh every 5 seconds – if you refresh your screen, you’ll slow down the process to move from the waiting room to the site. Once the high traffic levels subside, you’ll be taken to the page you requested. Please note for the best experience please use either IE7 or FireFox as your browser.

    -Matty”

Strange. It’s not quite 9:00am Pacific Time. Three minutes to go. Here’s hoping I get the two Tokyo Maters I need here in a couple minutes (it’s 10:58am CST).

  • Kevin W says:

Yay! My cabin has wifi. I will be ordering from Yellowstone!

  • Lorri says:

So, is this tokyo mater the exact same one as you could get at SDCC? It doesnt say anything in the description about the box lighting up.

  • collectormom says:

Very bummed the Polly Pocket Super Hero set is not available!

(MET: You should send them an email).

    • collectormom says:

Email sent. I think I’ll call in the morning too. It would be nice if the customer service person said “Oh yes, we have one sitting right here for you. I’ll send it off right away” but something tells me she won’t even know what item I’m talking about

(MET: Maybe if you hold your breath and stamp your feet :-) ).

      • collectormom says:

Well Met I may try that! I called and of course they had no idea what I was talking about. I called the # on the Matty site which is the generic Mattel #. They directed me to call the Matty site directly and gave me another #. Guess what? That just goes to the fulfillment center and they of course had no idea what I was talking about. The guy also told me to call Matty directly and gave me the first # I called. Oh well, I tried to give Mattel my money but I guess they don’t want it.

  • Carlos says:

First! Anyway, why are they using Toons for everything. From SDCC Exclusive to collector guides and carry cases, they’re everywere. I think they were made just to make more items for more money! Martin promised us RV’s, and this new only guy says maybe. This new designer also put Up on Oliver’s Trailer, instead of FN, and completly shifted to focusing on Toons. The 4 Tuners that light up would be cooler. Also, any results from last month’s Top 10 Poll?
