History of Matchbox
There’s a fun online site, “Matchbox 1-75” with the entire history of Matchbox from 1969 to 2014 … starting with their first release …
I actually have this Ambulance – in older days diecast makers would simply re-issue the same CARS for a while, they kept re-releasing the same vehicle though of course, mine is pretty beat up but it still looks cool after all these years.
If you love the history of diecasts, you definitely should explore the website, it’s a pretty extensive compendium of the history of Matchbox.

With the link Met supplied, the year 1969 comes up as default. To see any other year up to 2014, go to the URL line and change the date (“1969”) to the year you want to see. The data is all there by years. Very Interesting!
