Disney Pixar CARS 2: Silver One! Finish Line Frenzy at Walmart

“Nikko” found this at Walmart …

And since only the GOLD ONE says TRU exclusive, it would seem to indicate that the next shipment that TRU gets of this “game,” will include only the GOLD Lightning McQueen as the silver Lightning McQueen ones do NOT have the TRU only snipe … and presumably will be available everywhere else.

Picked up the gold one tonight @ TRU for the above mentioned $12.74. I’m guessing they are 4 to a case and I got the last one they had out. Wasn’t there last night so I’m guessing they came in on todays truck.

I did finally see these at my Walmart yesterday, the same day you posted this!! They were even in the same spot … right under the singles … HEY, were you at my store?? 😉

    Thornton, CO
I found both the gold and silver McQueen last week at TRU. But they were at two different stores. Silver in Thornton and gold at the Westminster store.

Interesting. I did finally find the Gold version in a TRU down in Orlando. The Silver ones were near the front of the store with the large display, but the Gold ones were in the Cars Aisle. They Gold one also has a different UPC number, but not sure if the item numbers are different. I think Gold is going to become easier to find soon. 🙂

Now that my son has crashed his new race cars enough to chip the paint on most of them, maybe we will get this game now because it does look sort of fun. If I can find it tomorrow at TRU on sale, I might pick one up.

The Finish line Frenzy as already noted is on sale this week at TRU for 12.74 (30% off on 18.99) The Silver versions are common, I saw 6 today at one TRU and 4 at another. The Gold? Haven’t seen one on the shelves yet. But they are out there as a family member found 4 Golds at a TRU in Waco, Texas.

The connect puzzles were not part of this week’s sale. The first 2 are still quite common. But 3 and 4 are not released yet. Noticed these have been moved to the Cars display area.

The Porto Corsa sets are not moving. The Paris Espionage sets are few now, and the Race Party sets are sold out here.

Our Walmarts in Southern California have had these (the silver ones) for a couple of weeks, didn’t occur to me to tell anyone…

Local TRU each seem to have six copies of the game with silver cars, ie I don’t think they are selling too well, so figured it would be a very long time before we got any gold ones.

The Connect Puzzles aren’t selling either. We have 1 and 2 and can’t assemble them until they get around to releasing 3 and 4.

Just picked up the Gold LM2 Finish Line Frenzy Game Saturday 6/25 evening at our Premiere TRU Polaris, Central Ohio. 30% off the list price too. They have had the Silver LM2 FLF Game for about 2 weeks.

Be sure to check in the Board Games section at TRU if these aren’t in the Cars aisle, in this store – Silver LM2 is in Board Games section and Gold LM2 is in the Cars aisle.

Also they have the 10 pack with the 2 exclusive vehicles along with 8 previously released vehicles (Wasabi Mater from the Tokyo Race Party 5-pack and 7 previously released singles). Checked a few of the singles against the 10 pack – eye positions and such pretty much the same, excepting LM who has the deep dish race wheels. Priced at $48.00 including tax.

Mattel/Disney/Pixar makes our purchase choices very hard, I can see purchasing the Finish Line Frenzy games with Gold and Silver LM2’s @ 18.99 and tax each – at least you get the game’s with them. $48.00 for 2 exclusives and 8 previously released to make up the 10-pack, had to leave it behind – will wait for them to clearance them to pick one up. This hurts the retailer’s more than anything, they have to mark them down to get them to move off the shelves.

If that is true and the next shipment to TRU is only gold then the one i have just lost its appeal…….. 🙁

Lets hope this is not true. 😉

I just saw 4 of these at one of my Wal-Marts. I spotted the Mattel case on a stockroom cart, but when I looked inside there was another game in there. When the Associate asked if I needed help, I said “No that’s OK, I just saw this box and thought this Cars game was only at Toys R Us,
“. She said it had a Wal-Mart label and was just a repack, so she, another Associate, my daughter and I all hunted them down and finally located them with the other games, NOT with the Cars toys.
