Disney Pixar CARS: Disney Store Mater Wrestling – Heavy Metal Weight 1, 2, 3 Winner!

The new 1:43 scale Disney Store Wrestling CARS are Heavy Metal Winners!

Available separately – each on their own cardboard stand.

(From the Disney Store Online if you don’t live near a Disney Store)

Frightening McMean

I Screamer Monster Truck

Paddy O’Concrete

Tormentor

Paddy O’Concrete is cooler than Portland cement in Fairbanks Alaska on January 17th.

Here is it in scale to Mattel’s 1:55 Torementor … check out the details – that’s right – Shamrock hubcaps! And serious metal – the entire cab and frame are metal and the cement mixer spins, of course.

And when I say the frame is metal, that includes the underneath chassis – that’s right – everything in black under the truck  frame (green) is ALL METAL and the wheels are synthetic rubber … and the axels move up & down as it should (the Mattel ones do also).

So, is it in scale in comparison to the Mattel 1:55? Pretty much – though it could be a skoosh larger but then it wouldn’t really fit in the packaging … and of course, since Mattel is not doing Paddy O’Concrete in scale this year … this is your only chance.

I-Screamer?

Yep, we all wanna scream for I Screamer …

The details are OUTSTANDING!

And his scale is actually larger – and like Paddy – serious metal deliciousness!

And Tormentor & McMean? Here are the size comparisons of the Disney Store versions and the Mattel 1:55 versions. Keep in mind the Disney Store version body’s are all metal along with the axel-chassis and the tires are synthetic rubber.

In case you’re wondering, the Tormentor color is off on both versions … Tormentor in the Toon is definitely not blue and definitely not bright baby blue – he’s more teal so … maybe they adjusted the color in the toon after they had begun production on these …

But all and all, great additions to the lineup … and in the case of I Screamer and Paddy O’Concrete, a nice scale fit.

Paddy and I-screamer are splendid, especially in comparison to the Mattel scale versions. Disneystore .com has a code MAGIC that will get you free std shipping. The new website order system was not accepting payment info but they helped me place my order via phone.

OH must have, must have. Hoping they stay online for awhile.

  • Dunroamin says:

I had them in hand then put them back…dunno why…they are nice…really nice…guess I decided to call it quits on the disney store stuff after the tokyo mater 2 pack…I’m sure I’ll change my mind 🙂

  • DBCarsGuy says:

Does anyone know when (and if) Disney Stores will do their Buy One, Get One Free toy sale?

    • Jack says:

Funny you should ask. I just asked the same question to a Disney Store manager just the other day. He said even the managers are notified until just before the sale starts.
He also said it’s only been one year that they didn’t so he believed they probably will and a short time right after black Friday is when it usually takes place if it is going to happen.

      • NascarFan says:

Our two for one started 2 weeks after Black Friday. I was there and got several of the 20 car sets, and then the following monday they were 2 for one. Go figure. As Jack states the managers didnt even know.

        • DBCarsGuy says:

Thanks for the feedback guys. Hopefully we will hear it here first when someone stumbles upon the sale in their area. I bought a bunch of Cars for the kids for Christmas last year and was hoping to do the same again this year.

Nice Disney Store release, was advised by Nascarfan last week that they were on the shelf.

Got my set yesterday, very nice – and a very nice x-tra large size bag to carry them out with, with Mickey and Minnie on each side, nice to put up on the wall or kid’s bedroom doors!

  • I-am-speed says:

I just wish I-Screamer had a little button to push that would play “Pop Goes the Weasel” with the scary off-speed twist it has in the video!

  • Jack says:

Yes very nicely made. Now to find Mattels version of the Ice Srceamer, Bennie Hat Mater a Tormentors biggest fan. A friend from Canada just told me they found all three up there today.
It’s get real hard to keep up lately. After arranging trades for Big fan, the Nitroade crew chief set and Fixed eyed Marco I thought I was caught up. That lasted about a day until Stu Bop & Brian Parks are found. Now I am 5 cars behind again. Just like that.

  • I-am-speed says:

Bought multiple Paddys about a week ago, just ordered I-Screamers over the weekend from the website. Shipping is very reasonable from Disney, especially compared to the cost of gas to go get them from our nearest store.

The scale of DS Paddy and I-Screamer makes them much more “in scale” with the Mattel Tormenter and McMean.

Odd to be doing a crossover collection in this case, but Paddy is awesome and I’m sure I-Screamer will be as well when they arrive, but the Mattel versions of Tormentor and McMean are the better choice for those two.

If you look at the video, you’ll see just how much larger(taller) Paddy, I-Screamer, and the others should be in comparison to Tormentor and McMean.

Now I just hope the Disney Store brings out their own version of Captain Collision!

I picked these up this weekend – very nice!

  • jambouk says:

    These are fantastic,

Almost too heavy to give to kids to throw around, details are really nice too.
I got Monster truck mack at same time and ref pitty is almost the same scale as mattels 1:55 line…metal and plastic parts the same also, so if you need a ref pitty for your 1:55cars he’s just fine.

  • NascarFan says:

These are dense heavy toys and very well made.

    nice tires too!!!

I delivered a set of these to one of our local collectors and her kids, they loved them!!!

  • Mr. T says:

    Pretty cool……….but pass………

  • Carlos says:

First! Anywat, thanks, Met. I wanted to see Paddy & amd Mattel’s Tormentor next to each other. I’m definately buying the Disney Store Paddy.
