Star Wars … Nothing but Star Wars … Give Me Those Star Wars

After a long wait, the Star Wars All-Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) are back at regular retail so instead of having to pay a couple hundred (or more) … and for the first time, a “Galactic Hero” version!

It’s about 2′ feet long and 2′ feet high and comes with the figure on speeder on the right.

It opens up and has lights and sound!

Amazon has it for a few bucks than regular retail of $39.99 but you get free shipping.

But more importantly, the ORIGINAL one for the 3 3/4″ figures AT-AT Imperial Walker is back! Also at Amazon.

This new is actually an upgrade from the one that came out many years ago …

“Press the button to lower the rappelling platform, attach the figure and press the button to retract the rappelling line. Once your figure is back inside, mount him on the Speeder Bike vehicle and deploy it from the back of your AT-AT vehicle! If additional β€œmanpower” is needed, your vehicle even holds up to 19 more figures. Light-up reciprocating chin guns, a light-up command section, battle and vehicle sounds and firing side-mounted blasters bring the excitement of the intergalactic saga straight to your living room!

Vehicle comes with Speeder Bike vehicle, AT-AT Driver figure, launchers, projectiles, label sheet, and instructions. Requires 3 β€œAA” batteries (not included).”

Nice!

And since the NEW & IMPROVED one is out, the prices of the last release has dropped in price – close to its original retail price so if you want the last release, you can get it from an Amazon third-party seller.

And don’t forget the very cool (though spendy) Lego MOTORIZED AT AT Walker

Now, these are the back to school items you need.

  • MCL Sydney says:

im a SW collector..and AT-AT always been my favorite!!

  • Dunroamin says:

I have a friend who has everything ever made! I help him collect star wars, he helps me collect cars…it’s a great deal cuz he lives in another state…once a month, we get together half way between, swap toys, have dinner, and go on a toy run!

Seen them all in the stores during the fall reset 99$ for the walker…yikes

I wonder if a pair of eyes will fit in the command section’s viewport? Slap a Rusteze decal on the nose and you are ready to go!

  • LoolarMcQueen says:

Met, your link to the new big AT-AT omits the “h” of the http, so the link is broken…

    (MET: Thanks!)

I absolutely love these, and have been giving my son the Galactic Heroes stuff (he has the X-Wing and Vader’s TIE; but I have ALL the other vehicles ready to give him as birthdays, Xmas and big milestones occur); I can’t wait to find these AT-ATs!

I bought the Big Millennium Falcon and I’m still stunned by it. Have it in a position of prominence atop a corner bookshelf and will really delight in giving my son his Galactic Heroes version (and I got a second Big one on super sale to present him with when he’s much older… shhh!). So if this big AT-AT is even half the toy the Falcon was, it will be amazing, too.

My grandson has the new AT AT Walker and its really amazing for $99.00. Sounds lights shoots, opens many different ways. He used some mixture of paint soap and water to make it look battle worn. Which makes it look even more movie realistic. You are going to love this.

He has that M. Falcon as well. Sure weren’t toys like this when I was a kid (last year).

  • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

My son’s ‘original’ AT-AT and all the other Star Wars from the 1970’s and early 1980’s still inhabits mom and dad’s world. I wish he would get his space junk out of here! πŸ™‚

All the original ships and actions figures are still here. The only pieces missing are the original remote control Jawa sand crawler and the remote control land speeder.

(MET: Yea, you should set it out on the curb and take a picture πŸ™‚ ).

  • kevin roche says:

very cool, but i have the original

  • slicepie says:

Saw the $99 version at Target yesterday. ehh, pass. Had the original and sold it long ago, no need to fill another shelf with stuff that won’t get used.

  • John in Missouri says:

Met, with all due respect while singing this post’s title: I knew Bill Murray, Bill Murray was a friend of mine, but Met, you are no Bill Murray. πŸ˜†

  • Hostile Takeover Banker says:

Also this is going to show my age but….

    look at that ATAT lego version. 3 things;
    1) It’s Star Wars Lego
    2) It is motorised Lego
    3) It is recommended for a child aged over 14.

Those 3 things didn’t happen when I was young.

  • Damian says:

I have seen the Galactic Heroes one at Toys R Us first but all of the Targets, Walmarts & Kmarts are remodeling over the next couple of weeks so they will find these in the backrooms to put them out on the shelves soon.

  • Brown Fury says:

The Galactic Heroes version is coming home with me as soon as it’s found!

  • Hostile Takeover Banker says:

Wow! I love me Star Wars. I simply had to have that ATAT walker from Galactic Heroes!
