Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Collectors Guide + Contest!

The 2010 Collector’s Guide is here …

I’m not sure if they are calling him ‘metallic finish’ because they a) don’t want to pay Ransburg any extra licensing on the front panel; b) figure no outside the industry cares or even knows what Ransburg means and ‘metallic’ says it just as well or; c) it’s spectraflame and Mattel doesn’t want anyone confused that it might be Hot Wheels so they just go with ‘metallic.’

Any Ransburg-Spectraflame experts out there? Any metal geeks? (no, not heavy metal, shiny metal 🙂  ).

Great decos – tampos …

Essentially the same as the Car Toons single Dragon McQueen other than the ‘metallic’ finish … decorations, decals, tampos, the exact same … well, different expression.

And of course, you get the guide … is it just me or do I look more spectrflamey than Ransburgy?

So booklet is nice … a combination of prototype photos intermixed with screenshots …

First look at many CARS announced but not seen yet in diecast form …

Not every numbered CAR is featured … and the ones that are are all lenticular … so what does that mean? The ones that are “classics” but not shown as lenticular are not being re-released as lenticular … such as Lizzie is not shown?

So it’s definitely not a complete guide but it might be a 2010 only collector guide?

AND will it be difficult to find with Target more interested in groceries?

And WM does not have it on their plan-o-gram?

Well, maybe not every WM but this “grouping” of WM’s are not carrying it?

Leaving only TRU, Kmart and online sellers?

Unknown.

It does come in its own box of 12 so …

But anyway – CONTEST TO WIN YOUR OWN!
