It is totally beautiful. My wife completely surprised me with it Christmas morning. I thought we were all done opening stuff up when my 6 year old comes up from the basement with this rather large box. My Wife said “Santa” left me something. I starting tearing the box apart and found the display case inside. Man what a feeling. I spent the rest of the day figuring out just how I wanted to organize the portion of my collection that will fit into the case.

Looks better in person . 😉

And so far so good this year – Found the color changers and one King with a cup…

    Couldn’t bring myself to payin’ $9 = tax for a plastic McQueen…

Not even Ramone looked good enough to buy! Oh well at least there weren’t any lenticucraps!

Where can i get one of theses

  • PirateDad says:

Any preferences anyone, over CTC display case and the Carney one??

  • Bob - Thee Naughty Knight says:

When I look at his glass case, I say to myself – “SELF, that is NOT ENOUGH SLOTS TO HOLD ONLY YOUR CUSTOMS”!

    • Mike J says:

One would think 104 slots would be enough.. but I guess I have way more than I thought I did. I don’t even have any of the Mia/Tia pairs in the case. Or the Show Girls. Or most of the Pitties that I have. I’ll probably order yet another one and hang it just below the first one. I could probably fill another half way without a problem.

And yes, It is really hard to photograph a glass backed case. If I set the aperture correctly I could probably get a reflection of my other display case in the background.

Christmas Eve morning found a pleasant surprise at Target, with a fresh delivery of Final Lap cars and Ransburg DJ hanging on a peg!

  • kdthomas says:

I see some empty slots in there…what gives?

    • Mike J says:

As another poster commented, I have the racers in ascending order. The Empty slots are the few that I am missing. I do have 2 from the Toys-R-Us mail-in thingie that I have never taken out of their little cases. I think I am down to just a few missing. The Apple car is one I would like to get my hands on since anyone who knows me wonders why I don’t have one yet. (yes, I’m an “Apple” guy. I have shirts, pens, mugs and sweatshirts from the “Mothership” in Cupertino, but not an Apple car).
So hopefully I can finish up the collection pretty soon. I never got the MSoS set so all of these were found the old fashioned way: I fought my kids for them. 🙂

      thanks for all the complements.

      Mike J.

Great photo of the display case… you’ve got the racers arranged in ascending order…Thanks for sharing…

I have 3 smaller ones for singles, and 1 of the Carney Plastics display cases for my haulers… and I see one of the Carney Plastics single display cases in my near future… I need one so I can display them all!

  • Jonny2Scarves says:

Looking at those haulers there made me think about mine. I live in the UK so I have the ones with international packaging, but both my Mack and Octane Gain hauler are numbered #4 on the box. I saw some more Macks in the shop the other day and they were all numbered #1 like the one in the picture above. Isn’t it a bit strange my Mack says #4? It’s not like it’s in the wrong box, it’s definitely the Mack box as it has his picture on it.

    Any ideas?!

    Thanks,

    Jon
