While the CARS magazine is being discontinued in the US … it lives on in France and other European countries.

And unlike in the US, in Europe, you can include a freebie in a magazine and I believe they usually include a plastic CAR and this month, it’s Colossus!

BTW, magazines are NOT allowed to include freebies in the US. Sales of magazines with freebies are not counted in audits for audience counts (to sell ads) … probably because bigger publishers would load up the freebies to drive circulation … but maybe it’s time to kill that rule. I’ve actually seen a sweater included with a EU fashion magazine … just think, you could get a kitten with CAT FANCY or a John Lasseter Surfing Safari diecast with the CARS magazine … that might sell a few issues, you think?
