We started a discussion in another forum about the Disney Store's new Cars 2 playsets, one of which is the toilet that Mater uses at the party in Tokyo.
The toilet room comes with a plastic Mater and a Grem. When these cars or the cars from the other two playsets are backed into the toilet it lights up some red LEDs and plays one audio clip associated with that Car. The Cars also have a spring launcher inside them and they can be launched from loose keys that come with the cars or from the toilet by means of a key built into the toilet wall. Unfortunately the in-wall key keeps kids from actually driving in a die cast Mater more than about half way. The photos below show how to remove the built in key.

the rear panel lifts off, be careful of the attached wires, turns out the key in the wall really is a full key, same as the ones that come in the set

the toilet control panel also just lifts off, nothing is glued

visible now is the sound board and the loudspeaker

closeup of the sound board showing the three switches, pressing the switches causes the toilet to utter one line of dialogue from the movie:
SW1 Bernouli
SW2 Shu Todoroki
SW3 Mater
SW1 & SW2 Finn McMissile
SW1 & SW3 Holley Shiftwell
SW2 & SW3 Grem
SW1 & SW2 & SW3 Acer (I don't recognize the voice or the line so I'm going to guess that it is Acer?)
It would be very easy to solder a switch across one or more contacts then mount it on the back or side of the toilet somewhere.
Or a microswitch could be set into the floor; I'll probably set ours up so die cast Mater can close the SW3 circuit.

this is what the LED bar looks like, it sits loose in the back wall to edge light the rear graphics

removing the internal key is as easy as removing two more small Phillips screws, on on top and one on the bottom

the toilet reassembled with key removed, its easy to reach in and push one or more of the switch levers with a finger

die cast Mater now fits in the toilet

This will do until TRU comes out with really nice Tokyo bathroom exclusive playset! Laugh

Thanks for the play by play.  Wish I could read all of it.  Some of the comments are too far to the right margin and have been cut off …. or is that just my view??  I MUST check this out again the next time I go to the Disney Store. Smile

Every time I post with photos the text goes nuts, I've tried all sorts of HTML tricks to try and make it readable.

A trick to read the copy:

highlight and copy the text then past it onto a blank text page.

Wow this is a great post!  I'm actually tempted to do this.  The bathroom scene was by far my son's favorite scene in the movie (actually he liked the trailer version better, without the Rod Torque footage added in).  What is the likelihood that there will be a nice diecast bathroom playset?  We haven't had a truly nice playset since the four Radiator Springs playsets were produced.

Heh heh, right!  My son loves to point out the "pistachio ice cream" now when we go out for sushi.

Ditto to the Radiator Springs Playsets. They were detailed down to the single brick on Ramone's house. The Tokyo Donut playset was not very detailed at all. I only bought it because it was $5.00 and had 3 characters that I didn't have- the 2 Patokaa's and a normal Tokyo Mater.

Sorry for the repeat post. Below is the text only from my original post. Without the photos it should at least be readable.

Nope, one picture on the outside of the
"realm" of what we can see screws up the rest
of it. But once the second page starts
it should be OK.

I just hit the Enter button in the middle of the
sentence so you could all see that, BTW.
Same with this.
