Race & Rescue 2026 Series is Here!

Hey everyone, collector alert! We've seen the photos circulating, and now we can finally confirm that the Disney/Pixar Cars Race & Rescue 2026 series is officially out in the wild! This is the second wave in the Race & Rescue line, following the first series last year. This year's release is featuring eight total characters spread across six singles and one very elusive 4-pack. Let’s break down what you need to look for.

For those who need a quick refresher, this line was originally inspired by a children's early reader book. It made its grand debut back in 2025 with a massive rollout consisting of 13 singles and two 2-packs, offering an awesome mix of both race cars and emergency rescue vehicles.

This year, the series is back with a much tighter lineup—at least for now—featuring just 6 singles and a single 4-pack. Interestingly, there aren't actually any traditional race cars in the mix this time around, unless you count Lightning McQueen, who is sporting his own unique Rescue version.

Another detail to note is the paint jobs. Aside from Morgan Martins, all the rescue characters are being re-released but with a completely brand-new color scheme. This year, there’s a heavy focus on olive green paired with sky blue accents. At first glance, this specific palette might give off a major Glow in the Dark vibe, making you think they might light up at night. However, I really don't think that's the case, and there is definitely no mention of a glowing feature anywhere on the packaging. And to mark the difference from last year's line, this year's vehicles all come with their own accessories!

THE SINGLES: Out Now! Check Your Stores!

Most of the lineup is available in single blister packs, and reports indicate they are just starting to hit shelves in the US. If you've been waiting, now is the time to check your local stores! Here are the six singles making their debut:

Guido & Luigi: The ultimate pit crew, now ready for emergency situations with their fire extinguisher.

Sarge: Our favorite olive-drab Jeep is back with his fire extinguisher and flames as an accessory.

Sally: Completing the Radiator Springs crew, she's ready to roll with her cones of course and a red fire hydrant.

Kathy Copter: Looks great as a helicopter figure with rescue markings and a familiar burning oil dream.

Rescue Mater: A new rescue version of Mater in red with olive-colored rims and blue side mirrors and comes with a cone.

Lightning McQueen: Looking sharp in his new rescue livery and coming with the same accessory than Sarge.

THE 4-PACK: Contains Exclusive RED!

To get all eight of the characters in this series, you must locate the Rescue Crew 4-Pack. This set actually hit shelves a few weeks ago, ahead of the singles, and it is proving very hard to find.

But it's an absolute must, because it includes the 8th character: an exclusive version of Rescue Squad Red!

Here is a look at the box for the 4-pack:

The 4-pack contents include Race & Rescue variants of Lightning McQueen, Sarge, Sally, and the exclusive Red. You can see the loose configuration of all four vehicles here. Just like the single versions, this pack includes the specific accessories for each vehicle, plus we get Red's fire hose.

So there you have it! Collect all six singles, and then begin the hunt for that tough 4-pack to add exclusive Red to your collection. Happy hunting everyone, and let us know what you've found!

The 4 pack is the easiest one to get.

It's available on Target's website.

It will show out of stock.

Target allows you to tick "let me know when the item is in stock" When they get a shipment you get an email to order.

Target members get free shipping and 5% off. Target doesn't pack well so the box will probably be damaged.
