Next - Cars: Lightning Racers TV Series Coming in 2027

Official Press Release - "Cars: Lightning Racers will premiere in 2027 on Disney Jr., then Disney+. Produced by Disney TV Animation in association with Pixar."

"The show follows Lightning McQueen as he gears up for all-new adventures in Radiator Springs alongside his hilarious best friend Mater and new friends thrill-seeking drag car Pipes and mud-loving monster truck Miles. The all-star cast returning to their original roles includes Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen, Larry the Cable Guy as Mater, Tony Shalhoub as Luigi, Cheech Marin as Ramone, Bob Peterson as Chick Hicks and John Ratzenberger as Mack. Leah Lewis and Yuri Lowenthal join the cast as Pipes and Miles, respectively. Sheryl Lee Ralph will also voice a new character, Ms. Blinker."

This will air on Disney Jr. so the animation will feature the "Mini Racers" look of the characters but they are voiced by the regular cast ... some name are not included but it might not mean anything as they might not have signed up Bonnie Hunt (for example) so it's too early to say. Of course, the 2D animation style is chaeper than 3D CG ...

Presumably we will get 1:55 die casts and a Mini Racers box set for the series ... What current Mini racers look like to give you an idea ...

Or that CARS characters have looked "cartoony" in young kids books like Cars Look & Find ... (spoiler alert, in this book, you look for CARS characters and find them ... :-). ).

As noted, elements are still in flux as we've already seen another logo ...
