Google's heading today is a doodle to celebrate the centennial of Route 66 ... America's first major "ighway" and byway (aka: the Mother Road) ...

And of course, CARS, Radiator Springs was inspired and built upon a road trip the Pixar crew took back in the 2000's to create/re-create a CARS version of the Route 66 ... inspiring people along the way to build 1:1 scale of CARS characters ... and helping to remind and reviving interest in Route 66 ...
