Disney Pixar CARS: How to Display & Protect Your CARS

Updated: 2 days ago

Since 99% of CARS Collectors are 'openers' there are a few choices ... the best is this giant 144 die cast CARS display from Carney Plastics ... we actually helped them create this for CARS - so you can display them at an angle and with the mirrored backing, see all sides of your CARS since many characters have features on one side but not the other ... their photo shows off 1:64 Hot Wheels but it fits 1:55 Mattel Disney Pixar CARS.

It's roomy enough to fit most Deluxe/Oversized (well, not Frank or Chuy).

If you have just a few open CARS you want to protect or display ... this is a generic one that most toy companies use for certain releases. This also stacks.

If you don't mind non acrylic, there are softer plastic options (and a better value) like this 200 pack available on Amazon for about $17. The plastioc ships flat and you just pop them up.

What about a few of your most special ones you've kept on card? The singles are about 6" by 7" and about 2.5" in depth (though it varies but outside of deluxe/oversized), 2.5" should cover 98% of the releases ... the problem is that most of the clip on plastic ones are for Hot Wheels which are small cards and a smaller bubble so there's no perfect fit ...

Amazon sells many acrylic cases that should fit with a little extra play but you can add some padding in the back if prevent movement (choose your padding carefully that it does not leave a residual on the back of your card - probably cloth is the safest). The various sizes also fit whatever you want to protect.

The Container Store also sells this acrylic case that should work - hopefully you have an actual store in the area to go and look at it ...

If you are okay with softer plastic, a much cheaper choice as it ships flat and you pop them. This one fits SW figures, this one fits Hot Wheels but should work for CARS with small bubbles. There are roomier ones like THIS ONE or this one.

I live in NorthernCal where we have a chain called Tap Plastic (website doesn't list much) but they have items in the stores and if you want a bunch of acrylic boxes, they can actually make customs for you. So, you might check your area.

Of the real proper way to display it by building your own 1:55 Radiator Springs and Ornament Valley ... and of course, a mini London for CARS 2 ...

How do you store them? Any tips or suggestioons??
