Ka-Chow! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cars, Disney and Pixar are hosting a very special event. D23, the Official Disney Fan Club, is teaming up with Street Food Cinema to present an exclusive outdoor screening of the beloved Pixar classic on August 1, 2026, at the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles.
Fans will have the chance to experience the original 2006 film on the big screen once again, revisiting Lightning McQueen, Mater, Sally, Doc Hudson, and the unforgettable residents of Radiator Springs in a fun summer atmosphere.

More Than Just a Movie Screening
The evening will feature plenty of activities before the movie begins, including:
Cars-themed photo opportunities;
a variety of food trucks;
pre-show entertainment;
and exclusive perks for eligible D23 members who purchased tickets through the official event, including a commemorative event gift, a Disney+ Hulu Throwback Mystery Pin Bag, early admission, and access to a reserved viewing area.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., followed by pre-show entertainment at 7:45 p.m., with the movie beginning at 8:15 p.m. (Pacific Time).
Kicking Off the 20th Anniversary Celebration
This special screening marks the beginning of Disney's official celebrations for the 20th anniversary of Cars.
The celebration will continue just days later at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where Cars will once again take center stage. Fans can look forward to themed experiences, including a Chevrolet display featuring Lightning McQueen and Mater-inspired vehicles, along with several interactive activities dedicated to the franchise.
