Seriously these are so cool if they ever arrive in Malaysia! Now we only get Aviator Mater and Autonaut Mater. I hate how Mattel never lets Malaysia collectors complete everything. Where is the last wave of Tokyo Mater? Dadguuum!!!
I know how you feel! The funny thing is most of the place i visit have sold out their singles and deluxe yet none of the retailers had restock.
I wonder is it Mattel doesn’t have any stock for them or the retailers just doesn’t want to sell Cars merchandise.
It just don’t make sense when SG is just 10 minutes drive from JB.

Mater is the new McQueen….Luckily my son loooves Mater. Im pretty sure I told y’all this before, but he has a whole shelf just for Mater. He calls it the Mater Museum.
Ivan and Waiter Mater could have passed as singles, but as nice as these could turn out, mater is getting a little annoying. I was okay with Mater’s tall tales, and even Mater saves Christmas, but when they made him pretty much the main character over McQueen in Cars 2,and made his die cast number #1 with Lightning as #3, that’s when i knew things would get a little different.
I bought the Dracula Mater and Materhosen last year from Disney Store,
since it seemed that Mattel was not. So here its a year later..Disney Store is full of Kabuki Maters as of yesterday for 6.00 each.
So slowly Mattel is catching up.
Good thing my kids and I like Mater…
When Cars 1 diecasts were out, they released loads of McQueens. Cars 2 – full of Maters… Really? I mean they look cool but what about “new” Characters?
Some look cool but as others have said already: Just too many Maters. Mattel will never cease to amaze me about how badly they can distribute the Cars.
These all look cool, but enough with the Mater! How about the trucks from the bar scene in London or the palace guard?
Also, my local WM just put a fresh deluxe case out the other day. It was the Pope case… so at this rate they are at least a year behind in clearing the back stock of Sub Finn.

Looking at these pictures. The first thing that comes to my mind is -You’d think Luigi and Guido would hook him up with some new tires every once in a while.
I like Mater as much as anyone… in fact, a few weeks ago I received Taco Truck Mater and Taia Decotura from Singapore… but there’s more to Cars than Mater.
After seeing this post, I’m ALREADY Taia’d of Mater!
