Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Missing Toon Singles

The Bye Bye Kar is the “last” Toon single on the official list …

Coming soon in the next case.

Well, two others have numbers assigned … coming still?

Unknown.

Sanban (#25)

Tansou (#26)

Of course, Sanban is the “green light,” at one point it was rumored that the yellow light & red light were coming in a 4-pack … and since they were kind of small, what else was included? The non-SDCC Tuner Mater with Flames and maybe Kabuto with Flames?

Or Tokyo Mater Mia & Tia?

Or with green tires?

Or the Geisha Girls? Hopefully back later in 2011 or early 2012?

Of course, there are only about 80 more interesting CARS left from Tokyo Mater …

Not to mention Mia & Tia Senorita …

Watching the video for the first time last week with the kids, I so wanted them to make ALL the cute Mias and Tias they have in the various shorts. Why do they make some great videos and go through the trouble to design them but then not make them?

    • Jack says:

Because it’s Mattel that makes the cars. Best to never expect much, just accept and enjoy whatever new cars you can get. Logic, order of release, completing a full line or any other form of order to the distribution of these cute cars is not Mattels strong suit.
However on those days you do walk into a store and stumble across a few or more new cars are the days collectors love. It’s just too bad Mattel doesn’t give us more of them.
Most of us have money and what to spend it on new cars but unfortunately most of the time lately there isn’t anything worth buying on the pegs. Let’s hope it changes soon.
Maybe Mattel will finally get tired of hearing about their poor distribution and try to overwhelm us with new releases just to shut us up. That’s what I am hoping when I write a post complaining about the poor distribution.
I figure if no one speaks up Mattel might not know of our frustration. I don’t know if it will work but anything is worth a try. Most every store I visit either has hardly anything or pegs filled with old stuff. Really hoping for a change.

Here here, Jack! Well said. Our moods will lighten when we see those new Cars on the pegs, whatever Cars they may be.

        What they ^ said.

      • Eric says:

Now that is my kind of well stated grumbling. I agree with everything you said there Jackie boy! Gimme some new cars so we stop finding new toy lines to pursue! I would much rather keep my dough flowing on the cars, but my son is getting bored and really only looks forward to Tokyo Mater releases now (and of course the prospect of new Cars 2 stuff!). If we had some more regularity and access to the new releases, I know he would be re-energized… Or at least I would be. Could you all honestly imagine how horrible and expensive it would be if we didn’t have this board? Aside from a few greedy apples, the members on this board rule!

      • Felix The Cat says:

Where do I sign petition to complain?

    • buckland-blowouts says:

I have to say we are pretty lucky to have that wonderful collection that we do…

Can you imagine being hooked on Lilo and Stitch!?!?!? Then not being able to get Stitch as a 3″ figurine in forty different poses/outfits!?!?!?! i would just have to die!!! Or start collectin’ CARS!!!

  • Man-I-Fold says:

What a cool set of cars! I hope they do make them all… and distribute them well. Someone on here mentioned that the Goodbye Kar may be Pixar’s tribute to the films of Hiyau Miyazaki (sp?). Is the door decal an image from one of his movies?

  • buckland-blowouts says:

I have seen all of these just yesterday at Walmart in Toronto…

    JUST KiddING!!!!!!!!
