Disney Pixar CARS & Toy Story: Turkey DVD Update & Almost Famous
Our good friend “Altan” reports in from Turkey that the CARS Toons DVD is out … and with extra nice touches from Disney-Pixar … not just subtitled … but all newly done titles!
It comes with Turkish dub and subtitle for sure but also with redesigned Arabalar (Cars) logo and more remarkable – newly regenerated short title scenes in Turkish where there are texts. They put Turkish translation not as a picture but as an animation. I couldn’t expect something like this.
Extras are, Cars 2 teaser in Turkish amongst the others.
But something even cooler, Disney has a contest to in different country with local talent to dub the smaller parts for Toy Story 3.
And the quote was:
Soldier: Let’s face it. When the trash bags come out, we army guys are the first to go.
Altan was picked as one of the finalists!
Unfortunately he was not selected … so close to being a Pixar celebrity!

Anyway, we spent some lovely hours in the studio, played WiFi, had been interviewed, had photo sessions. We met little buddies afterwards asking “Are you Tan Arda’s father ? Are you Tan ?” “Look!”
Unfortunately, since everybody was talking about Barbie and Ken dubs and those celebrities, we little buddies and fathers were overlooked. Anyway, here is a magazine, mixed the names though, cover, full page and close up.
Hundreds of nominees, only 4 of them and their fathers could make the final competition.
We are the first pair on the left.
