Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Tokyo Mater Singles Names to Faces (Well, Faceplates)
With the Collector Booklet 2010 coming any day now, we can attach more names to more CARS coming from Tokyo Mater …
There are still 3-4 CARS that are on the singles list but just names so we’re not at 100% yet … and here the megasize listed …
We do not know what the 4-packs will be but we are presume one will include the “clean” Dragon McQueen – the ONLY CAR we have seen pictures of but is not listed anywhere.
Maybe we will start seeing some of these after the reset …

Tim Rimmer, Flo with tray, and McQueen with shovel are on Ebay
For a 5 minute short that is a lot of Cars and there are so many others yet to come. I serioulsy need that winning lotto ticket.

MET – Sorry if this has been asked or written about, but is there going to be a new card for these cars or are they going to be on Cars Toon cards?
(MET: They will CAR TOONS cards but each series shows us a modified Mater to match that toon so my guess it will look like it’s part of the series but with Toyko tuner Mater).

I still think it is TOTALLY WIERD that they are releasing all this TOKYO MATER stuff and STILL have NEVER shown the cartoon on TV yet !?

You can watch it on the Internet. I watched this morning and it runs 6:35 minutes. If Mattel is really interested in promoting toys, I do not understand why Disney/Pixar has not produced a short to fit a half hour slot on television, similar to the Peanuts/Charlie Brown cartoons which run 23-24 minutes. A six minutes cartoon short just appears a little to contrived to be nothing more than a 6 minute commercial to sell toys. At this rate it will take forever to amass enough shorts to produce a DVD.
They had a great chance to do chase cars here:
Look at Sanban. Just imagine him/her also in yellow and red…but randomly packed 1-2 per case, so you have to be on your toes to get ‘ready, set-to, and go!’
Though they better hurry and release these. My ‘urge to collect’ is fading fast. Bought a Chase Cartrip right before Thanksgiving, and that’s been it.
Chase cars in the MTT lineup would ruin it for me.
Goodbye Kar is like a parody of Hello Kitty that’s ingenious. I don’t get the fact that Mia and Tia are in the MegaSize line.

There are still 5 Cars from the shorts not seen: Clean Dragon McQueen, Clean Tokyo Mater, The third Gesha girl, the yellow light car and the red light car. Since the green light car is getting made they might as well make the other two lights. Is there any word on those last 5 Cars?
(MET: Well, the list does not include CARS seen in the film but rather CARS listed as coming in which we don’t have a pic to match the name – in reality, they could release another 50 CARS from Tokyo mater if they wanted to … but since the green is a single, it seems safe to guess they are coming in a 4-pack and yea, if they release two Geisha girls (as I believe they are), the third should be one of the box sets … we also don’t know how many box sets there will be … 2? 4?)
Would anyone please be able to send me or point me in the right direction of a master list of the mega size cras please. Thank you. Matt

That’s a lot of castings/toys to sell for a 6:35 cartoon short! CarToon made to sell toys again! Nice castings but will the casual toy buyer be turned off by the amount of castings. Another C-note for sure!
Fantastic, I love the MTT line more and more with each release.
They had better not short pack any of the pink girl cars, otherwise my daughter will be very disappointed if she can’t get them all.

Our walmart isn’t set to do any rearranging in the toys til late January, early Feb. so we won’t get the car guide for a long time.
