Is it Brand New Mater or just plain Mater for Lenticular Night??? I thought it was the latter…

  • BigMOCats says:

    [ ] #140: One Eye Mater
    [ ] #141: Donna Pitts
    [ ] #142: Nick Stickers

The second line says Lightning McQueen (with Rust-Eze logo) as a final lap.

Rust-Eze logo? What does this mean? Is this different from every other McQueen that’s been released?

(MET: Until earlier this year, McQ was released without a proper rust-eze logo on his spoiler. After that was fixed, we now have two piece LM’s and one piece LM’s … two pieces means his facial expression is on a plastic attachment versus the one-piece metal where his expression is part of the body).

    • AtomicJarrod says:

Ok Thanks. I wasn’t aware there was an improved logo version. McQueen? Why would I want another McQueen? Little did I realise he was improved.

So I guess then that I need to get a Final Lap McQueen to get a non-lenticular, one piece, plain ol’ Lightning McQueen but with new and improved Rust-Eze logo?

I just used this today to finally score Antonio Veloce. Local target was out, but I was told a nearby target had 26 in stock. I assumed a full case. I showed up and was told they only had 2 in the stock room…Not two cases…but two cars. Weird. Anyway, the employee brought out a LMQ and an Antonio Veloce. Sweet! I found a defaced Dexter Hoover (torn card variant) at Target a few weeks ago, so now I can take a break for a couple of weeks!

Pit Crew Sarge?!?! Are you kidding me? Did I miss one? Please tell me this is an error and I did not miss one in Final Lap Case A.

    EM

    (MET: nope, just scheduled)

DCPI’s again for the Final Lap non Lenticulars?

  • babychristianscars says:

I won’t buy both versions of lenticulars, but I think the side to side version is nicer than the open/close version.

    • L8rM8r says:

Yeah I am with you on this. I wanted to have a set of lenticular counter parts to the original 16 desert back cars for display, but now am annoyed that the new eyes are way cooler than the original blinking eyes.

  • cac1959 says:

I like the new style lenticular 2.0 cardback and eyes… not as much as I like the classic eyed Cars, but I still like them.

I found the new 3 lenticular 3 packs in Indiana last night at Elder-Beerman.

  • jestrjef says:

WOW! I am glad I am not trying to keep up with these! The eye variations are cool, but I will stick to the FIXED EYE cars! 🙂

  • WillsCars says:

So far I’ve found three different eyes on McQueen and Mater. Guess it keeps things interesting!

    • buckland-blowouts says:

Soooooo glad I have stayed away from these on a card-back-collector thing…

I cannot imagine goin’ all batty for three different types of eyes on each of these silly abominations!!!
