I am in the Atlanta, GA area, and I went to several Targets the last few days, still no sign of Final Lap series cars. When will I see them at Target? Also, when will the story tellers series will be found in stores, I still have not seen a single one anywhere?
I saw two Final Laps at the Target on Meridian in Puyallup, WA. That store apparently was the only store jumping the gun around here. Three other stores today were resetting the pegs for the Final Lap with the price at $4.99 and any old castings at $3.99. Target on South Union in Tacoma, WA had Story Tellers of old-nothing new. Plenty of Gil’s around! Target was selling Mater Saves Christmas in the book section.
how about making these into rocket launchers..

also, just noticed, they havnt fixed dirt track mcqueen either!
changed his eyes, changed his mouth,
forgot to add rust-eze logo to spoiler and wheels are solid brown rather than regular black splattered with brown, tisk tisk,
its like mattel know these are gunna be failures so they just arnt trying!

what one thing do you think mattel should release?
could be a single car or an idea for a multipack or playset ect…
i think with the release of Waitress Flo and Waitress Mia & Tia,
they should do a big multipack or two,
one with Waitress Flo and 4 or 5 old timey cars as seen in the flashback (or maybe 3 or 4 cars and the red and silver dustin mellows)
and the other set to have Waitress Mia & Tia and 3 or 4 modern cars seen at the end of the film.
maybe each pack could come with some gas cans and the stacked up cans seen in the film.
that would be SWEET!!!
how can pit crew sarge be lenticular if it hasn’t been in the Final Lap??
(MET; So, in theory, Pit Crew Sarge should show up very soon as a Final Lap CAR, CASE B? …).
Has anyone seen a Pit Crew Sarge lenticular as a single? I’ve only seen it in a 3 pack…
not to jump into mater the greater, but shouldnt we be seeing signs of the new 4 packs somewhere, we see the singles floating around on ebay but no 4 packs.

My 7 year old and I have no interest in these. Bought Lightning, Sally, Doc and the King, but can’t get into it. I think a lot of people agree – they are filling pegs in every TRU and Target we go to…
I only wish the 3 packs would come out so I could get those instead of singles.
Anyone find anything of interest at Target today? I’m betting “NO”, since there wasn’t even a mention of CARS in their online ad that posted late last night.

Nothing today. My Target put out all the new Cars last week. I also got some old Storyteller 3pks at the clearance price except for the one with Retro Ramone.
So what was the point of that 10/11 release date?

Went to 4 targets between MA and NH and finally found them at the 4th one. Two of the previous 3 said they did not have them in stock. One said they had them in stock, but would not bring them out, just that they would put them out during the week. I thought if they had them in stock and you asked for them they would bring them out
The King I found the other day had the correct Piston Cup.

the lenticular kathy looks funny as lenticular because the nose looks like its glued on instead of the regular one which is one piece?? weird
wait…they changed bling bling McQueen to a plastic expression model, but STILL didnt bother to fix the rims?
i guess putting gold on the rims wouldnt be cutting corners, and thus wouldnt save them money so its not worth doing!
maybe mattel will send out goldish holograms this time around?
Okay… we mostly agree that re-releasing cars as lenticulars sucks….

I cannot believe that ABC is going to re-release that tv series ” V “ on November 3rd, good grief that series died a slow death long ago…. So much for imagination in Hollywood. They must have relatives at mattel on the lenticular line.
these cars make me think of tv shows that add another character to make the show more interesting.. didnt work for me.

We’re #1. Not too crazy about the lenticulars, but I know kids that LOVE them. So to each his own. It would be nice to score a wild Chase car versus having to trade for one.
My son and I weren’t sure if we would like the Lenticulars but when we saw them in the store we were hooked. I’m happy that they’re coming out with different eye expressions. I especially like Flo. I think a Lenticular Chuki would be really cute! 🙂
