TakeFive – totally educational and can make you smarter … okay, I had nothing to do with it … (as usual) …
Paul B. is a teacher in Ireland (in the cool city of Sligo) …
“The children in my class have been doing a project on altered reality and what better example than Cars, a world where vehicles seem to behave like humans! The kids range in age from 9 to 12 years old and there project remit was to look at the movie and try to identify images, products etc that relate directly to the human reality. We tried to avoid Tow Cap! They then came up with their own products that could be used in the Cars world. These products and services could then be used to sponsor a Piston Cup racer.”
What a cool teacher!
“Kevin Roche provided the templates for the racers and the kids designed and created the cars that you see in the attached pictures. The project could not have been completed without Kevin and other Take Five members who helped me get in touch with him. I just thought you might like to know that your excellent site has educational benefits as well as being informative and entertaining.”
Check out the great KING spoiler – THAT’s a spoiler!
“Some of the Piston cup racers up close and personal.
Oil Aid: A charity oil company donating their profits to underprivileged cars.
Heart Fuel: A low carb fuel that can be used as part of an octane controlled diet.
Fuel.com: Online fuel supply company for busy cars with no time for food shopping.
Fairy Fly: A small pink car that is on kid cars tv and is very popular with the young uns.
Fast Fix: A repair service set up by ex McQueen pit crews, the main mover behind the company is My names not Chuck.
Ramones House of Body Art: Ramone gets his own race team, Piston Cup officials had to change the rules to allow the team to race in a different livery (colour scheme) for each race.
Bumper Shine: For that dazzling smile last seen on Frank Pinkerton!”
Is school supposed to be this much fun? 🙂
“Our school is called St. Patrick’s and we are in Maugherow, Co. Sligo, Republic of Ireland and everyone in 4th, 5th and 6th class would like to say a big thank you to you and the wider Take Five community.
Regards and best wishes, Paul.”
