As everyone knows, there have been many changes from the announced listings to the actual listings so note that all I am doing is passing along the latest info that I have.

This is for educational and entertainment value – please do not bet the farm on this info.

If Richard Kensington SUV is indeed in this case, he will look something like this …

I am still looking for Octain Gain Cabs… piles of svens around

  • CaptainChunk says:

More Svens and Macks…really Mattel? Would it kill you to look in a store now and then to see what isn’t selling?

  • John in Missouri says:

The release date is April 1, 2010.

The alternate release date is April 1, 2011.

  • BMW says:

RCK was in the CAAF auction case October 07 that was auctioned off to benefit the Children with Aids charity, along with other rare cars like the fabled Red Ransburg 1.
There have been plenty of RCK sold on the secondary market in the last two years, people have him from Hong Kong sellers. It always seemed strange that he never was released to retail.

    • TJH-AZ says:

Also, he wasn’t Mega sized. So what happened to the other 20K of the production run of the regular sized RCK? I don’t understand why he’s mega sized when he’s NOT that much bigger than anyone else in the movie. Might as well make Mini a mega sized, since she’s a van.
It seems to me that Mattel is just making a NEW scale series. Sven is huge compared to what size he should be. This whole series is just becomming a mish mash of cars/trucks/planes/trains/blimps that make up the series without regard to scale.

      • Daniel says:

I too have noticed that. The scale is all over the place when it comes to Cars. Small Fred and WM-8 TJ are too small, yet Large Fred and Boot Camp TJ are too big. And then’s there’s Matchbox Axle. You think after 40 years of Hot Wheels, they could get it right?

  • PirateDad says:

I’m with Jeff…4 old ones and only 2 NEW ones…I bet that the whole case of 6 Richards wood have sold out instantly….oh well, we can dream

    • buckland-blowouts says:

Maybe someone will trade us a Kensington Dude for twenty Oversized Blimps..?? That fair right!??!??!

Remember that whole episode about Walmart getting exclusive rights to the WOC Oversizers…??? Well by going to ROR, they could move on to sellin’ other vehicles to other stores without breakin’ their contract with the Big W… !?!??! Remember?

…And we wondered where all those cases would end up? Well search no more as Toronto seems to be the dump site for Blimp after Blimp after Blimp… But hey…They will never go out of style???

      • John in Missouri says:

        I’ve got 20 Wal-Mart Al Oft’s if you need ’em! 😉

      • Mike says:

So far, the semi cabs are piling up at some stores, and it seems that Sven is joining them. I would have thought Sven would be flying off the shelves…at least to me he looks cool!

Though the return of Barney Stormin’ doesn’t seem so bad. Barney was hard enough to find the first time he came out.

      • Daniel says:

I’m not sure WM had full exclusivity of the oversized. I think they simply secured a few months exclusivity on the competition, at least in Canada.

Problem was Mattel produced WAAAAY too many A-cases and/or WM Canada bought WAAAY too many. Other stores eventually received some of these same cases, but not by the truckloads that WM Canada did.

Mind you, it doesn’t help that WM is “liquidating” them at $7.00 when the same exact stock sold for $6.47 when it first came out. If the buyers for WM Canada had a clue about this line, they would have known that if no one wanted the WM8 Blimp, no one would want a bigger version, and they would have requested 1 Al per case (or none).

Perhaps Mattel should finally recall these, place a Goodyear sticker over Lightyear and sell them to tire distributors.

  • iamspeed says:

I’ve gotten my hopes up to see Richard on the pegs before, so hopefully he’ll be in the case this time around.

Nikko knows how to take a good close-up photo of a small item! Very nice images.

  • iamspeed says:

Anyone have an opinion on this?

I have a Chick Hicks w/Piston Cup that has a BENT(YES, actually BENT, it’s shaped like this “)” ) Piston Cup! (It is still sealed, MOC)

    Any extra value?

Give me your two cents on this.

  • Uncle Skip says:

Nice lettering on “MegaSize Case N” … metalicy!!

  • Aaron & Jeanne Scriven says:

i hope its FOR REAL this time!!! please o please mattel!!!

  • jestrjef says:

    really . . . 2 new ones . . . and 4 repeats . . . I thought Mattel was getting better at this case packing thing . . .

    • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

You can’t give away semi’s around here! The pegs are flush with them. Even at buy 2 get 1 free, the store’s can’t move them. Why buy a semi when you can buy a hauler, speaking from the little kid point of view?

    • pwschuh says:

Don’t confuse your interests with Mattel’s interests. Mattel is interested in making a profit for its shareholders. Period. You can best believe that this case is packed exactly like they want it to be packed. Also remember that you are not Mattel’s customer. K-Mart, Target, Walmart, TRU, etc are Mattel’s customers. All they have to do is sell these cases to the retail stores. Whether or not you buy them is the stores’ problem. The cases are packed in such a way that the marketing people have determined will be purchased by the retailers.

      • Whoseline says:

wow, you couldn’t be more wrong. stores will not keep buying cases if they are not selling. which is why some stores never get certain cases. and that will affect mattel.

    • materrocks says:

I bought a case of mega sized cars a while back from children’s toy closet that stated 2 or 3 Claytons, when I received a case, there was not a one. So I’m thinking, no more cases for me. You never really know what’s going to be in them. Since it was priced at only $40.00, I thought it was a very good deal.

  • 5oclockshadow says:

    I believe it….

  • luciano24 says:

believe it when i see it…lol
