Disney Pixar CARS: Disney Carsland at D23
A few weeks, there was a big Disney D23 Expo. What is D23? From the Press Release …
“D23 – Disney’s first official community for fans – celebrates the wonder and excitement that began in 1923 when Walt Disney opened his studio in Hollywood. Through the years, Disney’s stories, characters and experiences have captured the imagination of fans everywhere, and now D23 places you in the middle of the magic. One of the showcases at D23 was a presentation of CARS2, & Carsland. The John Lasseter presentation was strictly off limits to recording or photos … but the CARSLAND exhibit was not … so here are some official photos and photos taken by “Marvin,” Thanks Marvin.

Totally doable – shouldn’t take you more than a couple hours while watching football to knock this out.
Some chicken wire, some plaster, some foam, one of those Dremel things, a few cans of tan and brown spray paint … Aroldo Pongetti’s version comes with a tiny Roman Coliseum …
You might need a big basement and get one of those lights that wings in an arc so you have that realistic light from day to dusk to night …
Is that long building on the right the CARS store with 10,000 pegs and the updated Motor Speedway of the South set built on rolling casters for sale?

While the D23 Expo is over, they will presumably move this CARSLAND exhibit to the Blue Sky Cellar at California Adventures.

I saw a used tour bus for sale a few days ago.
Anyone else want to chip in to help bring the TakeFiveADay CARS BUS to life? I don’t know if any of our customizers can take on a full size vehicle!
I have my chauffeur’s license, so we’ll just pick everyone up on the way to California. Maybe PirateDad and all of our other Canadian readers can fly in and leave from our house?
Maybe diesel will drop a little more by the time it opens!
