What’s next for Storytellers, as suspected, they under-estimated the interest in this line and good news & bad news rolled into the one – the next seven releases (illustrations shown below) won’t be out until 2009 though in some sense, that’s also good news as a) we won’t have to fight holiday crowds to get these and b) they might ship in greater quantities now that they know there is great(er) interest in the line.

And there’s more possibly more good news-bad news – presumably the 4 “new” CARS (Sponsorless McQ, Smell Swell McQ, Wedding Day Ramone & Retro Ramone) will be back sometime in the Spring also in greater quantity BUT there are rumors that one/several of the parties involved in packaging design process might want a re-design of the packaging so while the CARS already released won’t change, we might get a re-design of the cards … for openers, no biggie but completists might grit their teeth …

So what are the next CARS in the Storytellers series to be released?

These are not rumors, the designs and prototypes are completed, now it’s just up to production & shipping … when? Nothing for certain but presumably as early as mid-February?

Next Storytellers will contain:

Bubba, Mater’s nemesis.

Buford, cousin – Buford.

Cousin Cletus.

Cousin Jud.

But every so slightly more attractive are the “matching” Motorama Girls that accompany Flo on her tour around the country in her chapter called “SHOWSTOPPERS.”
