My 5-year-old loves to customize his carpeted Cars land. He often will construct a house for each new car. Some things come and go too fast for me to snap a picture of. Here is some stuff that either is still around, or he just made it recently, with no or little help from adults (aside from the Apple car). Enjoy!

Apple iCar gets the checkered Flag. The iCar is prety faded now, but used to have stronger pencil graphics. I cut out the car, and drew the wheels and windows, Jr. decorated it and has played with it A LOT.

Is it Leroy Traffic, or one of Sarge's intensive training regimens?

Captured Prof Z and Fred Fisbowski. They were in a styrofoam jail a few days ago. Finn, Rod, and Holley teamed up and made light work of the bad guys.

His newest idea was to make his own Cars cars.

I agree. It bares a striking resemblance to Sid the Sloth from Ice Age!

I was amazed to find that my son had designed and constructed Dobbs's house all by himself. He did this for Milton Calypeer as well, but I can't find that house. A few months ago he had sealed McQueen and Lizzie each in their own tomb, as they both had died. There was a big funeral for McQueen. This was well before Cars2 and all of the death therein. Jr. was working out some family deaths. Lizze and McQueen have since come back to play some more. 🙂

That last guy was pretty much all Jr.'s idea as well. He wanted to make some cars, so we walked to CVS, bought a few $1 hot wheels, and then we each painted and decorated our own, using eyes from some Cars stickers. I stuck on the Mater mouth under his direction. Tonight he said they were Mater's cousins, but that we needed to make the 3rd cousin (good memory). So we now have another cardboard car. He decided that Mater's 3rd cousin would be "Later Tater." We'll have to watch Ice Age to see the character that the last one reminds you of Slicepie – that's so cool!

Thanks all. He loved hearing your comments. Now, each day he says, "I'm going to be famous about Cars cars. I have to get to work." Then, he takes pictures of his cars while playing with his cars. Too funny.

That is classic. Thanks for sharing, mike. To see the world thru the eyes of a child is one of the many great rewards of being a parent. I see this type of stuff around the house every day but seldom stop to take a pic. Your post reminds me that I should. Big props to your boy, he is definitely a true cars fan with a very creative mind. And props to you for taking the time to record it.
