I just got word from a Disney Store that Team McQueen Chase will be authorized to sell on Monday the 17th of September.

By talking to the store manager at multiple Disney Stores, they say that the new Chase models are sent to the stores up to 3 weeks prior to the official release date. Some stores do not pay any attention to the memo that is accompanied with the shipment and place them on the shelves upon receipt, hence the eBay leaks.
Unfortunately, all of the San Diego and surrounding stores obey those memos.

I was at the Disney outlet in Pigeon Forge TN this weekend and they had them out there, I picked up one for my son. They are so cute!!!! Just to let you know if you call you can place a order over the phone and have it shipped to you.

Thank you for that heads up. I would have done that with Memo Rojas Jr since I was in a major panic over his apparent scarcity, prior to his release date. Since I am understanding the Disney Store distribution system a little better, I will just mosey on over to my local Disney Store tomorrow and pick myself up a couple.

Lol no problem. Unfortunately we don't have a Disney store within hours of us so when we go on vacation I buy anything new, I also always call them when something online sells out.

OMG, I thought I was the only one that cared about that or even noticed. I know why they did it. It hides the screw on the side of the helicopter. I just wish they flipped the screw in the mold versus flip the character in the case.
Every time I see him I think about the fact he is flipped.
Another thing, he has no model number. The rest of the Series 3 have model numbers except this guy even though he is part of that series which all have a unique postcard.

Haha nope you are not the only one. I have OCD and that it bothers me beyond belief.
My fiancee actually got it at the Disney Store for me because she works right by one.
First thing I noticed was that and then was pretty annoyed with the screw in the back so you have no choice but to leave it as is.
I will figure something out for it once I am able to display all of my Cars because I have no space to at the moment.

My contact sent me an email today, sorry no pictures.
The message conveyed was the following:
"Two new cars coming out this month. I believe a new McQueen on the 14 and a green ramone on the 21."
The dates might be off a little since it was recited via memory.
I expect the release to be on the 15th and 22nd since DIsney Store releases new items on Mondays.

I've seen in eBay the Private Eye Mater and Lieutenant McQueen in acrylic cases.

Thank you for that. I have seen them as well. Those auctions clearly state that they are custom cases made from the box set diecasts.
It fooled me at first until I read the description.
