Also note – trades are not sanctioned nor moderated by us, we’re only providing a “bulletin board” for you to connect to another seller, trader or buyer. We don’t collect a % of sales nor are we going to. So, have fun, trade fair but use normal caution. Thanks.

There are a few simple rules:
1) No eBay listings if they are your listings. You may list eBay listings if you think they might of interest to others or it amuses you – just note in the comments that it is NOT your auction.
2) You MUST list prices for anything you are selling. This will save a lot of back and forth and save everyone a lot of time. If you have a large collection or high value item, you may note that it is negotiable but you still must list a starting discussion price.
3) Our trading posts are for CARS ONLY HERE (separate forums), if you have anything else to sell, you may note it at the bottom of a CARS listing but this post here is for Mattel Disney Pixar CARS ONLY. (Other CARS toys are okay). All other auction items must go into the other forum.
4) We believe that everyone values different CARS differently so there is no cap on how much you want list as a selling price for anything for the 1:55 series of CARS & related items here. If you feel some item is listed at too high of a price, just keep scrolling. There is no need to comment on anything you are not willing to pay. It is all relative – for instance, the launchers can sell for as much as 15 EU in Europe (or about $22 USD) so for many of our Europe or international collectors, they might even consider it a bargain 
…
5) Please be sure and communicate with your buyers if you plan on being away from your computer.
6) If you have any problems or concerns with an ongoing transaction, if you get no response from the seller (or trading partner), please feel free to email me at metroxing (at) gmail.com. I will try and help you resolve any issues if I can. See below also.
7) You may list a link for photos of anything you are selling outside this website but if you are asking people to visit your site if you are selling a custom, please email us first.
8 ) For anyone who wants to have your email address visible in your PROFILE (simply add to the section in your profile called ABOUT … that portion of the profile page is visible to everyone). Thanks. Otherwise, be sure and type your email address in your selling/trading/wants post – your email in comments is only visible to the admins.
9) There is also a FEEDBACK page so you can list anyone who you’ve traded with or check when you are buying for the first time with somone – REMEMBER TO CHECK FIRST!- the best way to search is to use your browser page search (COMMAND-F on the Mac) and not our search bar at the top – which is really more of blog post search. Unfortunately, there’s no real easy to create a feedback page that has everyone listed. (older feedback has been archived – check the feedback page for link & instructions).
10) Because of the amount of posts – the page starts to slow down after about 400 posts so, I’ll wipe at the middle of each month and at the end of every month. I’ll try to leave a warning but sorry, you’ll have to repost sometimes.
11) PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE selling or trading INTERNATIONAL CARDS – they may or may not be of interest to everyone plus there are varying shipping costs – so simply note it upfront to save everyone some time. Thank you.
12) If you are a store/eBay Storefront, you may list a response to a request, question or query for merchandise or a specific item someone is looking for. You are NOT allowed to list store inventory. If you wish to have a sale or offer a coupon, send us an email for approval – otherwise, contact Mark for advertising rates. You, of course, are free to trade or list wants.
Thanks again for 99.9% of you self policing yourselves and making it casual yet efficient! And I know sometimes at the other end when you are waiting for a CAR, it can seem forever and even after two weeks, sometimes it is still winding its way towards so patience is sometimes required. Again, thanks to 99.99% of you, I think this is working great and it’s you who’s keeping it fun & interesting so keep it up! Thanks!
And additional bit of advice. If you are swapping something of higher value, it might be better to buy and use Paypal so you have some protection. All I’m offering is a blank page to post on and sure 99.99% of the people here are honest or make an occasion mistake but there are obviously people who are dishonest so use your judgment. If you are trading with someone new, make sure their emails are quick and forthright. Ask for photos and especially if you are trading with someone new in the $25+ range, you might want to make sure you get a phone number.
Now, sometimes there are circumstances where someone has a family emergency or some other circumstance but I think two weeks is more than enough time – even if you have not received the item, they should at least be able to communicate within a week or two.
If they fail to respond, you can email me but wait at least a WEEK of no communique before escalating. While you might be waiting by the mailbox or phone, they might not consider CARS the most important thing in the world so do NOT immediately presume the worst.
I do not keep track of trades but after some thousands of comments posted in the trades area in the last 8 months, there have only been TWO trader/sellers that have required banning so be cautious but don’t escalate too quickly.
If there is ultimately a problem – of course, my powers are limited other than banning them from posting … however, the law is on your side. You can generally file a claim with their local police department over the phone or online. But you can definitely file a claim online with their state ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE. Just search for (THAT PERSON’S STATE) ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE to file a complaint. You can & should also file a claim with the FBI Online at: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx
All of these are serious matters so don’t jump too quick into filing formal complaints but let them know that you are serious and if they don’t want to be answering a LOCAL, STATE and FEDERAL complaint for FRAUD and/or MAIL FRAUD (that is a FEDERAL FELONY!) … they can at least return your merchandise.
I hope a few bad apples don’t spoil it for everyone. I hope that those who intend to defraud people realize it is a FEDERAL crime and not just some passing thing to steal a couple CARS … it’s not worth it. But conversely, let’s not immediately presume the worst …
Also note – if you have a problem with an advertiser, email them first or email ME directly to resolve the issue – this is NOT the forum for any personal 3rd party customer service issues.

Hi all. So I figured I would try again in honor of a Trading forum clean slate. I am interested in buying a Speedway of the South set. I can pay well over a thousand dollars. I also have a few rare or valuable items which I can include toward the cost as well. Including a couple French promotion Gaskits, a DB 12 set, kmart day 1 Cars, Rollin Bowlin Mater or the Rollin Bowlin 6 piece character set and a few others. So if anyone has a set they can spare and would be nice enough to accept less than a 500 to 600 % markup please contact me. It is the only item my Son dosen’t have( besides a real Red Ransburg, but who knows about those anyway). So I would like to finally get him the set.

Thank you guys for the kind words. I am sure if someone like you had an extra set, John would have one already. Unfortunetely everyone that does have an extra set don’t seem to care what they paid it. Their only concern is how much they can get for it. It’s just greed to me. Not being happy with a nice profit and instead worrying that you may have been able to get a little more is what guides some people. My pursuit of a set has been very frustrating. Especially since the latest episode in which a person contacts me first,offers me one for “less than Ebay prices” but yet calls my offer of up to 1,500.00 for an unsealed set a “bargain basement price”. I guess some people can justify anything in their own minds. As if leading people on and wasting their time is ok. Anyway I am thankful for so many members here who have always been more concerned with helping others and what something cost them. Not the most they can get for something. The regular members here are why take 5 is awesome and it’s been a pleasure helping each other. I am not going to let a couple bad apples trying to get their grubby little hands on every penny they can get spoil the hobby for my son and I. I will just keep looking and hopefully I find someone that has one and would be more than satified with a thousand dollar markup or so on something they paid 300.00 for.
This reminds me of the Rare disney 101 dalmation sets. You see it show on on eBay every now and again, opened, played with and no certificate often for $800-1000 for a $100 set. The 102 I’ve never seen under 1100 and again its a $100 set.
My daughter’s had them since she was tiny and loves them. I am thankful we were able to get them for her.

Thanks Etho. You have always been a great member here. I hope I find one soon too. Like I said unfortunetly greed, dollar signs and milking every penny they can get are many peoples god nowadays. You and many others know I have never cared what I can get for something just what it cost me. Helping others at a price that’s manageable outweighs a few extra dollars to me. Last year I donated more to various charities than a Speedway set would have cost me from Ebay. However helping others less fortunate I can justify spending 2,000.00 on, Not toy Cars.
This comes from one that sold Gask-its and a lot more on eBay for outrageous prices. Please quit bad mouthing eBayers when one does it himself. I just get tired of this double standard.
Bad mouthing Ebayers? What people do on Ebay has nothing to do with this forum Moe. Besides I gave and traded away for cost alot more Gaskits then I ever sold. The ones I did sell ( all stared at .99 with no reserve by the way) I gave back to those that helped me. I don’t care what anyone does on Ebay. I am just trying to get John a set without having to pay around 2000.00. Also by the way in case you didn’t notice I haven’t listed anything on Ebay in months. I have only been helping and trading with regular friends and other collectors lately. However I don’t care or do I think anything bad about selling on Ebay. I know lots of great people that do. This has nothing to do with Ebay so you needn’t defend yourself for wanting to go the top dollar route yourself or look to compare yourself to what others do. No one cares.
No problem Jack. It just seems there is a double standard when one wants something that the other has and it is never worth anything, but when the one that has it always thinks it is worth more than the world. I personally sold a set on eBay for $2195.00 plus S&H and the buyer was tickled to death. He gave it to his son to play with so at least he didn’t put a price on something for his son to play with. Me personally I spent over half that to get my son 1st row T.V. side tickets to the WWE Elimination Chamber so he could have a blast and the seller made a fortune but I can’t put a price on my sons head to have fun and enjoy. It is only money and you can’t take it with you so enjoy with the kids is what I say. I spend a fortune on my son and really don’t care what others make, just making sure his child life is fun. I just spent another fortune on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown for 1sr row T.V. side and we record it so he will have that memory forever. There is nothing like seeing that big smile on a childs face no matter what it cost. i just get tired of people bashing eBayers as if you don’t like it, go elsewhere to get. others don’t mind spending money for something they don’t have. And no Jack, you had buy it now high prices on a lot of items so please don’t make up stories! have a great time finding one for what you want to pay. Personally those Gask-its and other items you sold for outrageous prices was greed too!
Moe, that’s great what you are doing for you son..and I wish I could be in a better position (economic) right now…to spoil my little guy a bit more, but don’t forget, that all the love you can give to him is better than the materials stuff!
And Jack said, he put his Gask-its on bidding, so those outrageous prices, is not what he asked for, that’s what the bidders are willing to pay, I personally sold one for outregeous price, so it’s not greed! I felt it was a little help from “above” when we needed the most!
The love comes first, believe me. I don’t buy love and never will. I have spent all my time with my son every chance I can and he knows it. I get him where he has to be and there to support him at what he does all the time. We respect each other and Brian is a great kid and he gets the material things for being such a great kid. (MET: EDIT). I call them supply and demand. I really don’t care what anybody sells for as if the people pay for it then they are happy. I am just tired of people complaining about asking prices. You don’t like the price, just keep hunting but it doesn’t make someone a bad person for asking high price as described in his post.

Arguments aside, this is a trade forum and I think these points are better left in personal emails or perhaps a separate post thread altogether (random rantings?). Finally, the new layout style does make it hard to read when there are so many replies.

I send you a little looped tape of Jeremy Piven talking to Lightning through what looks like a common sewing thimble, but in reality is a very high cost piece of alien technology made to look like a thimble. You get the honors of displaying said looped discussion in your already overpriced acrylic display case! VERY LIMITED! Only one available … $20,000 for TFAD members only. The price goes up to $20,000.01 if I have to put it on eBay.

I was so hoping for a SOTS too with that sort of quality and pricing.
Everything has been sold. Actually Eric traded me all of the above for 9 of these annoying Impound Snot Rod’s I had lying around. I mean, you couldn’t see the car with all that stupid confetti on the bubbles. I also threw in 3 carded Rollin’ Bowlin’ Mater’s. C’mon Mattel, he’s not even in the movie!
Thanks be to John! So now I have 9 Impound Snot Rods w/Confetti (well 8 since we needed a non-lenticular Snotty Roddy to play with and I am just going to crack one of them open). I will let the whole lot of them go for $40 plus shipping (no PayPal if sent as gift).
