Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Next 2015 Singles Diecasts on Amazon
If your local store hasn’t gotten the next 2015 case singles – Amazon has them available – priced like TRU but you don’t have to drive around – you just have to go to your front door.
There are two “new” singles.
Well, only one is truly new – if you count Lightning McQueen with a “Determined” Expression as new.
Perhaps a better name might be – Lightning McQueen mirrors expression of shopper who just picked up this card? UNCANNY!
The other “new” is a Jaguar repaint – Amazon just lists him as Blue Jag but presumably he’ll have a name.
Of course, this sculpt is pretty off base for a Jaguar E-Type but whatareyagonnado?
There are two new to singles …
Cruz Besouro (Carla Veloso’s Crew Chief – previously in a KM only 2-pack).
And Okuni, previously only in a TRU-only box set.
Bert is not new to singles but as a Final Lap release, not easy to find (Bert has been out in box sets).
The rest of the case are common re-releases: RT Sarge, Nigel Gearsley, Brand new mater, Mario Andretti (though he hasn’t been available as a single for a while), Jeff Grovette, DJ and The King.

The light blue Jaguar showed up here today via eBay and the Chinese back door. Nothing special, it appears to be a body nearly identical to Victor Paveone in all respects, except the smirking mouth is a new piece.
This post will be really esoteric. The blue Jaguar is named “Jumpstart J. Ward”. There was a previous yellow El Camino style Car named “Jay W.”
If you follow Pixar, Jay Ward is supposedly one of the guys responsible for marketing and licensing of the Cars franchise, as well as being listed in the art department for Cars; and both these Cars look to be a nod to him.
Is this the first re-use of a name with a totally different carbody? If so, do we have a situation similar to the character Glorfindel in ‘The Silmarillion’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’? (Really showing my nerd here).

(MET: It doesn’t seem to match the listed contents for CASE R … the “first” case was P … so going by Mattel logic, this is probably Case Q … 😆 ).
Met, The second case USA of 2015 does not match the international case which is E.

(MET: Yea, since it looks there’s only one or two in each case, even if Amazon got 100 cases, it’s pretty easy for them to sell 200 of something …)
For $3000 the MSoS set really ought to have free shipping. 🙂
