Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Play ‘N Race Launchers
There is a whole complicated Play ‘N Race playset, trackset, launchers & tracks where you buy each piece separately and attach them together (the PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE playset/tracksets might also attach).
These are the launchers:
Piston Cup Pit Stop
Route 66’s Speed Trap
Tractor Tippin’ Fields 
You can attach them to “townie” playsets … such as Luigi’s
Or Cozy Cone:
Or Escape From Frank …
ANd you can buy expansion tracks such as this one:

The Piston Cup Pit Stop has just appeared on Amazon. Several of the others were on sale at Mattel.com last week but seem to be gone now.
I really am starting to like look of these too – kinda cool a cars version of thomas take and play – just to be sure am i right in saying these fit with standard 1:55 scale die casts? Or are they smaller size like the old action agents range?
(MET: These are for 1:55. You get a plastic car but they work with most of the diecast … I doubt the Convoy Bros will fit. 🙂 )
My current collecting habits will probably pass on these. I must say “Bravo” though to Mattel for some attractive and imaginative playsets long overdue. We’ll see how much before I make a final decision.
Okay, these playsets are actually looking to be really cool! Still hoping that Fillmore’s Tent gets released.
