Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: 2014 Poster & Website Up & Running

Well, January 16th is not too bad to be up & running, right?

Wait, it is January, isn’t it? It’s 98 degrees outside, it is January 16th normal, right?

Well, it’s up and running with a few months to spare – good enough.

You can find the website HERE – the poster is under the tab POSTER.

Nearly all the diecasts coming are already known but it’s nice to see names with CARS faces …

“John H.” who sent along heads-up that the website is up & running notes that they scrubbed the banner … 🙂 Jessica

Jessica Giampetrol & Nate Stanchion as Allinol scientists with Lee Race (already out) are the only real surprise – previously unknown. Nice! The little extra accessories are nice!marcelo

Thanks “John H.” for the heads up!

Er, yea, “2015” is close – only about 3 months away …

FINALLY! 2014 Cars is probably half over and we are barely getting this. Mattel should post this around the first few months of the Cars year. 😀 So excited! About to see it! Yay!

  • RRichie09 says:

The ambulance is different and cool. I’ll deffinatey get that, my son will like it.

Wish they had an R8 instead of the TT for me though.

Nice! Cars news 🙂 Wonder if they will have the poster at SDCC?

  • hypercarrots says:

wow almost all of these are licensed vehicles

  • BMW says:

I hope Henri Motisse actually comes with the easel. The 2014 poster shows the painter with easel, but the website only shows the car with the paintbrush.
    Hope its only an omission.

  • thanks metroxing! 😉
    I ve just noticed:
-that magen carrars is missing in the allinol blow out serie (poster and site mattel)
-also changed frank cluchenson (seen on denise beam cardback) to alberto in the race fans serie

(MET: Good eye! Yea, I thought there were some chases missing but I did not study it indepth. Thanks!)

    • Mack_me_Bucko says:

There’s yet another race fan in the series I am guessing, seeing as I have a car in hand one that is a Carla fan, with a Brazilian #8 on the roof, the body is the sculpt from Alloy Hemberger, in a medium blue. It isn’t the exact same sculpt as Alloy I think , as the hole in the roof is forward, not rearward.

Guess this means no Otto 2 pack?? :–(

man that took forever! very cool to see the poster though…no Frank the Combine and no “Mcqueen fans Luigi and Guido” noted on there though. Maybe Frank was just a rumor some months ago I guess.

Some of the sets seem rather small, so maybe there is room for additions in the line-up as things get closer to end of year? Still, you’d think that this would be nailed down by now, since buyer’s reps are already lining up their Christmas season orders about now.

    • tzdtmm says:

forgot to mention Sally with tattoo is somewhat new (no cone on her head)

  • Mack_me_Bucko says:

Hmm, what is “Interview Francesco” anyway? An open mouthed version of the Car?

Also interesting that all the back-door versions of Louis LaRue so far seen have the paintbrush alongside the right front wheel … and not up in the air as seen on Henri Motisse.

  • Mack_me_Bucko says:

Finally! Names! I already have Alberto, Jonathan Shiftko, Louis LaRue, and Marcelo — now bring on the rest!! It’s gonna be a great collecting year, between these new ones (and several are all new sculpts), the RS 500.5 sets, and everything from Planes F&R.

  • John in Missouri says:

    Really neat!!

  • cac1959 says:

Finally! Thanks for the great news, Met!

    I count 16 Cars that I haven’t seen yet… bring them on!
